Any Discounts on Ordering XB7?

Hey guys, I'm about ready to place my pre-order for the XB7, and my local dealership is saying basically I pay full retail price since it is a custom order Alpina there are no pricing discounts or anything. This makes sense, but I've never done this before so I'm not sure if anyone knows something I don't?

Are there any other dealerships who offer different things, or anything I should ask for in particular? Or just basically I'm paying full price just like the build-your-own website prices it at?

Thank you!

there are some discounts out there...seems people getting them are in the neighborhood of 3-7% at the moment

3-5% should be easily doable without breaking a sweat.

I got 3% on my order and I ordered when the order banks just opened in end of May.

Can any of you recommend a dealer who did this so I can get a quote from them and see the discount? I would like to bring it back to my dealer and be like "match it or I go elsewhere" and I have a feeling they won't match it, so I would have a Plan B then.

My recommendation is to find the right contact with the best pricing and do business with them. Don't waste your time and breath with a dealer just because they are local (they don't deserve your business). I haven't bought from a local dealer for 20 years. I sent you a contact that people on this forum have been doing business with for years.

Just for s@$! and giggles, I went into my local dealer (where I service) and explained to them that I was ready to order a $115k+ X7 M50i (which was true). CA configured the car and told me he would talk to mgmt in the morning to get their best pricing. The guy never called me back—pure comedy.

I’m going to order one soon. My dealer last time did 9ish% off, waiting to see what they do this time. If they don’t play ball I’ll get some contacts from here. The MB dealership here (for wife’s GLS) said MB was producing something like 40% less cars and they couldn’t mark anything down. Sounded like BS.

I am calling around dealers now to see what I can get. I would be happy with 5-6%.

Dark shadow? I thought this was back in July and limited production and has long since sold out? How could you get one now?

Lol, 10-4! I was debating on that over XB7 but I just think I have to XB7, white interior, white headliner, Alpina Blue. Sounds sexy and fun fir a change. I've done the all black/dark before. Changing it up. But that purple black matte and whatnot is super cool

I need a new car before year end to take advantage of the Section 179 (surprised this isn't covered more on the forum) ...or I may save it for next year. Alpina is such a rare bird...wife wants something no one else has so I'm leaning alpina

That's exactly what I'm doing, it's why my wife gets the GLS 580 too, lol. But it might not accrue until next year, which is fine too. All nets the same in the end.

You might want to make a close comparison between the Alpina XB7 and the M50i. I like exclusivity, and the XB7 technically has it over the rest of the X7 lineup (including the M50i). But you might be surprised at just how NOT excusive the XB7 is when compared to the M50i - especially when looking at previous Alpina models over the years. I am impressed that your wife wants something different for her BMW - my wife could care less (as long as it is a late model BMW ).

Anyway, you may find the XB7 upcharge over the M50i is not worth it. Or maybe order a M50i with a few BMW Individual touches for less than the XB7 upcharge to keep the wife happy with something different than other X7's. Although, I have yet to run into "a lot" of X7's on the road, regardless of variant. Either way, you will be making an informed decision.

Good luck!
