Hope you have heat reflecting tint.

Now this is tastefully done. Absolutely beautiful.

I'm not sure how matte it would stay with full PPF either.

(MY2021 configurator not up yet, and I don't want to dig into the 2021 prices, which are fairly comparable anyway) So here's what I get:

2021 Dark Shadow Edition: MSRP $119,495
Comparably configured and equipped 2020 M50i: $110,480
Difference: $9,015

MY2021 available options NOT present on the Dark Shadow Edition, according to the specs listed by the OP in this thread:
Dynamic Handling Package
Luxury Seating Package (Ventilated and Massage seats)
Space Saving Spare
Trailer Hitch

Note that the OP pictures in this thread show Rear Seat Entertainment, but not listed in the specs.

This does not include MY2020 options that are removed for MY2021, to include Ambient Air and Night Vision. Also does not account, if buyer wants to add the $850 Captain's Chairs, which is the only available option for the Dark Shadow Edition.

So, if everything is accurate, it looks like it's about a $9k premium over a comparably equipped "standard edition" M50i, for the matte paint, exclusive wheels, and exclusive combination of interior materials (available in other options, but not in this combination). And the car is well equipped, but not fully loaded. (as I would want it to be)

Grrrrrrr....
The Ordering and Pricing Guide has it listed as a $9,800 option package.

No Dynamic Handling Package on this for the price? The most important "sporty" option and it isn't included? Once again, a good choice for people with more money than brains. Same thing on the matte paint, the majority of the folks with the money to buy one of these don't hand wash their cars, they run them through the car wash, which is an absolute no-no with this paint.

Haven't got the call from the dealer yet. Production starts August (next week?) for rest of the world, USA comes Q4 2020, so I'm guessing like November
Yes, congrats! You've been talking about getting an X7 for a while. You're going to love the M50i. Best all around rig I've owned.

Congratulations on your purchase
I genuinely didn't know that you went for it.

FYI, I love it.

I wish you many many miles of happiness and enjoyment.

Paint protection before taking delivery 😬

I really like it but not for $120k...and I'd be very worried about managing the paint. Hope to see one.

These characterizations are really unfair

The website indicates the pre-orders are complete, so it must have sold out now.

Always garaged day and night and the tint & windshield sun visor does a great job keeping car cool when parked outside.

Do you have the option to add DHP or is the car as-is?

"The only option at pre-order being the selection of second row Captain's Chairs vs. the standard three-person bench seat."

Yeah, the only option it let me "select at time of pre-order" was to add captains chairs. (Which I did) bench was standard.

That wording makes me think (or at least hope) that more options can be added later. I want to fully load it. Still ambiguity on what configuration it comes with. A big sticky point may be DHP. If it's not included or can't add, I may cancel.

Seeing now that the dark shadow is just an option in the ordering guide, I hope that yes, I can configure other things. Still don't know about RSE

I like it. Asked me dealer if I could reserve one... will there be a significant up charge?

Yeah, unfortunately allocations are sold out. But looks like it's a $9k option for the paint, interior trim, and leather
