Mine is squeaking again. They replaced the parking brake and it went away but I am starting to hear a slight squeak again. Only happens when the brakes are warm and pulling away from a stop.

KyleB ... I'm noticing this myself!!! Exactly the same symptoms. If I drive mine for 15mins or so, nothing. If I drive it for 30 mins or longer, then that EXACT SAME THING happens to me. (Squeaking somewhere around the right front tire when accelerating at low speeds)
Do you have any idea on what it could be? Or does anyone else have this problem??? |

A lot of people have this problem. I took into the dealer and they deglazed my brakes. The squeaking went away for a couple of weeks, but it came back. The technician told me to brake harder. The squeaking only comes when the brakes are hot, but I found out if you brake hard you can get rid of the squeaking sound. They definitely need a fix for this cuz braking hard everytime is a pain in the ass.

i just mine in for the same problem today, The foreman said that it is a progressive problem with the sensor rubbing. He said that they have been using felt tape around the sensor to "soften" it up. He's done it to several other cars and none of them have yet to come back and complain... i'm hoping it works for me because that noise is embarassing!!!

There's a bunch of threads on this topic. I'm assuming you're taking your car to Pacific BMW, just tell your service advisor that this is a common problem, he should know about it already.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=brake+squeal Read post #7, he gives a good explanation as to what is happening. If they still can't fix it this time around I suggest you print some of this material out and show your service advisor. Here are a couple threads you can read about the same brake squeal, the first link includes the TSB for a brake problem, you may want to print that out as well: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=brake+squeal http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=brake+squeal |

suggest to your SA or Tech to replace the brake caliper and guiding bolt. That's what they did for mine and it's been fine for 4 months now. You still get the squeak when the e brake is up but no more coasting squeaking noises while driving at low speeds ie.. parking lots

My service manager told me that any fix would be temporary as it is partially due to the climate and moisture. I hate it too but my Vdub did the same thing so I guess I am just used to it. Plus it's so damn hot down here I always have my windows up and a/c blasting so I usually don't hear it.

Same problem here... I was due for a brake job and hope that it would go away. Took it back 2nd time and a week later... still brake noise. It's embarrassing coming to a stop.

It's a common problem for 335s. Has to do something with the brake sensor.. since the performance brakes of the 335 is quite larger than normal brakes, I guess the sensors touch the rotors in a "bouncing" manner. That's why when you accelerate, you hear this long squeeaaak.. then a shorter squeak, then a shorter squeak, and so forth.
