AC Schnitzer front lip / Splitter too low?
Hi All,
Looking to get this AC Schnitzer front lip fitted on my M850i but wondering if it will be too low and kill the joy of driving in the city with all the speed bumps, anyone with experience of this spoiler please ? does it increase or reduce your MPGs ? |

I've been advised to get front lips, side skirts, lowering springs, etc the whole works for my M850i and I've declined simply because even with the OEM set up this car is too low. Especially an issue because I drive it in winter.
So if that is your concern, then yes, it's probably too low. But it looks great!

Great looking splitter. But I agree ....looks awfully low. I couldn't manage that unit.
As Tupper said it looks way too easy to bash that. My big concern would be driveway or parking lot entrances. My driveway would ruin that first time out. |

Crazy low. I wouldn't even run that over here in Germany.

Long tracked in older threads but the AC Schnitzer front splitter/lip is beyond ridiculously low. It's hard enough to park an 8-series front forward with parking bumpers in lots, garages, etc. Throw this on and it's 10X the pain point and I can guarantee it won't work in my world with road drainage "dips" on the streets in my area as I practically have to crawl through them or better yet at an angle but that depends on traffic, etc. without bottoming out the stock rubber splitter.
