Presenting Newest Mod...VMR V710's mounted
Okay...just couldn't wait...went ahead and mounted the new shoes/wheels (yeah I know they're 19" summer tires Asedais).but what the hell. Talked to my service guy at Passport BMW and kinda agreed with him that we haven't seen much precipitation this winter (while I was gone) and that its not below freezing that often WITH precip this season. Added to that was the realization that there's probably only 45 days or so left of the bad stuff before the weather should improve...therefore why mount 18" winter or All Seasons now for just 30-45 days of driving when as he pointed out I'd not drive the M3 in that weather anyway but the X5. So without further wait...presenting the newest mod! LOL
Hope you like and sorry bout the lighting but it was getting dark out and the garage was the only warm place I could find! LOL Next up...Dinan Spring set, H&R's or Eibach's! LOL A Vorsteiner carbon fiber rear difuser would also be nice too!

Looks Hot
Nice car & rims. What size tires did you put on those rims ? Too bad the weather around here sucks. I just came back from LA and I wish I had my car out there in the 70 degree weather. enjoy |

Looks good. How does the gunmetal finish of the VMRs compare to the OEM 18s? Are the VMRs lighter or darker than your 18s? It kind of looks lighter, but difficult to tell from just the pics.

Yes the 997 is just sitting there...have started it up but so far it hasn't left the garage...it does need a service which is one reason (that can be expensive) but otherwise it isn't unusual for winter and that car...it's used to the charger and storage from Dec thru March but then again it hasn't left the garage since Aug when I left...the M3 is just that good! I can't stay outta it! LOL

Have the time but not the weather Jurrian! When it clears up here I will get a tripod and try out the new 8.1 megapixel Camera they got me for Xmas when I got home for real and send you some good pics.
Hopefully tho the ones I sent don't embarass you guys too much and do the Gunmetal VMR V710's justice!

If you look at the before and after its really hard to tell the difference in finish between the OEM 18" and the 19" Gunmetal VMR V710's. Very Very close match and if pushed I'd say the VMR's are a slight shade lighter but not much at all. Also the Sparkling Graphite is almost chamelon-like in its ability it seems to blend in with both sets of wheels to make them seem factory matched almost paint wise.

Can't say the same for myself I am still here in Iraq for another 11 months Your wheels are looking really good I like it. Can't wait to see it when you drop it. Make sure you add some painted reflectors to your list of mods and if you get the Vorstiener diffuser get the new one they have out type II or Version II
check out this thread: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=203091 Once again welcome back home and thank you for your service down range LOL
