I haven't track mpg on the highway yet because of gas are all time high and no plan for traveling yet. Im sure with the aforementioned i wont get 25 mpg highway probably half 12.5 to 13 mpg depending on how you accelerate or drive.
If you haven't done pure highway driving, don't be surprised when you see 24-25mpg. There's a pretty big difference between city and highway mpg for these big SUVs. The amount of gas required to overcome the inertia to get the car moving is significant, and that's why city mpg is very bad.

The shorter the drive, the lower the mpg. When I travel 5-10 miles, constantly, I see 15-17mpg. When I travel 1-2 miles, I see below 15mpg.

What app are you using to track your "Real time mpg"? I don't know of any app that is accurate. There's only one way I trust for "Real time mpg" calculations. Total miles traveled divided by the total gallons needed to gas up to full. Works on any car/motorcycle/boat.

Here's how I track the difference in distances for mpg. I start with a full gas tank and I use my X7 to only drop off my daughter at school(about 1.5miles). This is daily for 10 days total(two weeks no weekend drives). After the 10th day, I go gas up. Total miles divided by amount of gallons at the pump.

After gas up to full tank, I drive my X7 to work daily(anywhere from 5-10 miles daily) for two weeks. Once again, after two weeks go fill up at the gas station again. You'd be surprise at the results.

I saw highway mileage increase a bit after I hit 10k miles.
Prior to 10k miles I was getting between 21-24 mpg on long highway trips. After 10k I've been getting 25-27 on the same trips.
Around town with lots of stop and go, lots of elevation changes I get around 13-15mpg.
This is with the 40i. I suspect the M50i will be a little bit lower.

Hwy driving…probably around 350 miles worth. Got it up to 29.5mpg but only got a pic at 29.4mpg. Not too bad for such a heavy suv.

M50d with 8000 miles - on shorter journeys I get between 25 and 29 mpg and longer trips say over 50 miles on the highway up to 35mpg. These are UK mpg not US?

with 15k+ miles of tracking, I'm getting average of 16.5mpg and the lowest was 11. I'm little heavy on right foot

Highway driving I used to get anywhere between 18-21mpg

I just ordered a 2022 X7 M50i. I was hoping to average around 18-19 mixed. Is that wishful thinking on my part?

Previous 40i with 8600 miles got 21.5 mpg with 60% city, 40% highway.

Current 40i with 1500 miles is 21.2 with 80% city, 20% highway.

I have only 3000 miles so far, currently get 12ish in town, 22-23 using cruise on freeway...did pop up notably at about 1,000 miles, looking for further improvement with a few more miles, as some have indicated in these forums....was dismayed when gas shot up just after I started driving it, but then everytime I hear the engine, and feel the raw power, I don't care!!!

Averaged 28mpg on a 600 mile road trip. One of the 100 mile trips recorded 33mpg..
Have noticed about 18-19mpg on local trips.

Curious to see what I will get in winter months.

40i - get about 20 in the city.

Took a trip to Tulsa, about 500 miles. Averaged 25.8 mpg at 64.2 mph on half the trip, 27.5 mpg at 72.7 mph on the other half.

Lesson, go faster - save fuel

Can you please tell me how to change the view in the right hand side of the instrument panel to show mpg?

There are two buttons on the end of the turn signal stalk. Push the top button to cycle through the various screens for that right display.

Also you have a view it when you go into ECO and the right side tach becomes mpg and average will be bigger font however it can show either total or since refueling. You change that setting within infotainment settings. I recently noticed mine was in the 21s and I just refueled it and know it should be higher. I checked and mine was changed to over life of ownership. I changed it back to since refueling and it jumped up to 25 mpg. I think the setting was changed after a recent update.

I don't think you have to floor it consistently to get low MPG. It varies greatly depending on the environment you're driving in.

For example, around my home, there's a lot of stop and go and elevation changes. I average between 13-15mpg driving gently. (average speed is around 18mph).

Last year when I was visiting another city where there was less stop and go and little to no elevation changes, I averaged 20-21mpg with average speeds around 30mph.

So both are "City" driving, but yield drastically different results.

Yeah just giving you grief and obviously understand the conditions. I do use Eco often and find in stop and go that my mpg still stays well above 21. Haven't done much driving in hilly areas yet.
