Maybe the LCI with the B58TU2 is more efficient at higher speeds.

In my Pre-LCI, I find if I can keep my speed between 65-70mph then I can get as high as 28mpg (more realistically 26-27mpg). But if I go over 70mph then the consumption goes up significantly. over 75mph I'm lucky to see around 22-23mpg.
