Makes me wonder if the extended warranty or maintenance plan is even needed, but I do know things tend to need more work once they get past initial warranty. Which they would keep it longer so we could see how it holds up.
if you have geico just add the maintenance program when you get the car. covers 7 years 100k miles.

I do and have thought about it, but there’s no guidance or info on how much the per month costs increase every 6 months when you renew. Plus you have to pay for 4 years or 50,000 before you’d have to use it. I think the price they gave me was like $40 month, so after 4 years if it stayed the same I would have sunk $1920 into it before having a chance to use it. Can make sense if you reach 50,000 miles sooner than 4 years.

Add in another 2 years for Geico at $40/month and that’s and additional $960 for a total of $2880.

BMW 6/100 costs $4450

You save $1570 with Geico, but again no guarantee that the price will remain the same each renewal period.

Old N63 were extremely unreliable. However it seems now, BMW has gotten the issues fixed.

Hi Everyone,
Brand new to Bimmerpost
So, apologies if this question has been asked a number of times earlier.

I am currently evaluating a CPO 2019 x50i with M Package, Bowers & Wilkins, 6 seat config with 27k miles/44k kms on it. I have asked for 8 yrs Platinum warranty and 6 yrs Maintenance warranty to be included.
I had a few questions and will really appreciate if someone can help me with those:
1. What should I be careful about or ask for from the dealer for the vehicle? like Service record? etc

2. Since it has Ivory & Blue colored seats, does anyone recommend ceramic coating on it for long life?

3. Winter Tire packages: Are there Tire packages available outside? If yes, can someone help me with that please?

4. Since I have a child car seat, I am afraid of it leaving deep marks on my leather seats. Is there any way of preventing that?

Thanks a lot for all your help.

Regards

No, it's not. The N63 had a major revision somewhere in the 2012-14 timeframe. (Can't remember exactly). Almost all the components that were giving customers problems were revised or upgraded. The engine was upgraded again in 2018. So the versions (50i and M50) are pretty tried and true. I won't call them bulletproof just yet but they seem to be well sorted now. Fingers crossed.

Turbo coolant lines are still a nagging issue once the engine gets up in mileage.
