Funny that it's posted in Russian, they won't get any BMWs any time soon.

I would not bet on this. Sooner than later, corporations will remind themselves that business is business.

Doubt it in this case, otherwise you'd see BMWs in North Korea too.

Enough to look how Germans and French are behaving. North Korea is not a good comparison. If there is no demand, there is no supply. BUT not topic for this forum.

Same. The entire point of the LCI is to push the original design further and make it unique from what one has been driving for the prior 3 years. I like what they're doing.

The thing is, this is not a LCI

Ok you got me. Elaborate why this is not an LCI, because BMW themselves are calling it an LCI, right?

I could be wrong; these changes could be the lifecycle impulse updates. I believe the term LCI only applies when changes are made to an existing model designation at or near mid lifecycle.

You are suggesting there is an even bigger design update coming in the next years? I did not know of this distinction and might have confused this myself.

Doesn’t LCI = Lifecycle Impulse?

Well I obviously have no idea what I'm talking but independently of that, it seems that it's being suggested that the current X7 design changes are somewhat minor to a bigger refresh that is not equivalent of a generation-step…
So yeah all very exciting. I both like the new design as well as am looking forward to how the design language is going to evolve!

Not sure if you are just speculating or you have a source with new or different inside information? If you do have a source please share!

the current insider who maintains the "future bmw model information" thread in the general section has told us the 7/22 model update is indeed the LCI for the x7 featuring:
-updated styling
-updated I6 and new v8
-idrive 8

Thank you for clarifying. It is a LCI. I was wrong.

Should have answers to all speculative questions in a few weeks - Mid to late April is when the build specs start getting posted.

It’s a squinty eyed mess with a bit of the predator jaws. BMW is just destroying their designs with every new release.
That front end has a 10 years back Infinity QX80 vibe about it.

Looks like I will be looking into the next GLS63 when I am ready to buy and see if MB can keep some continuity in their design language.
Do you realize that you just described Aston Martin and Audi's design language over the last two decades? Squinty eyes and a predator jaw.....where do you think the Koreans got it from?

And totally...Mercedes is the way to go with the 'continuity in their design language', the EQ and EQS both look amazing. Right?

While I agree BMW is heading in the overly aggressive route, Mercedes continues in the direction of melting its cars into personality-less blobs on wheels.

I don't know where MystroX5 lives but where I live Mercedes is charging a 20k to 30k to it's top tier vehicles. For GLS450 I need to pay 25k premium. For G63 I need to pay 60k premium...

That's just an absurd way to do business IMO.

Do you mean the build of MY23? That's a lot earlier than I thought...

I had been putting some calls into local dealers about the LCI. One of the sales managers just called and said that they won't be taking orders on the LCI now until April 2023. Said it was due to shortages, etc.....Being a dealership, I'm immediately skeptical, but I wonder if there is any accuracy to this.

I heard from my local dealership that we may be able to order the new X7 as early as June with delivery in August?!? 🤷🏽*♂️

Seems much earlier than their typical timeline…

If you got one of the first build allocations in July it is conceivable that if the stars align in transport it could arrive before the end of the august.

In general order guides for July model updates tend to start filtering out in late April/may, I doubt April for the x7 considering they may not "reveal" the x7 LCI until the new 7 has had its day in the sun. It is possible could be waiting till June for a guide, a situation where the order system itself updates before bmw actually publishes the guide
