Finally picked up my custom build I ordered in November.

I paid MSRP - 9% discount - $1500 finance credit - $1000 loyalty - $500 military

I also qualified for December rates, opted of 72 months at 3.49% (was approved in November at 5.79%).

Picked up an x40i in the DFW area this week. We didn’t reach out to anyone first just showed up to a dealer that had some in stock.

Dealers first pencil was 7.5% off + 2.9 for 60, and this was a unit fresh off the truck, we technically qualified for none of the rebates. This is our family’s first BMW, (retirement gift for my dad) and I was so shocked how easy it was, I was tempted to just pull the trigger right there. Sales guy was awesome and I’m too cheap to settle for first pencil, ended up right at 8% and didn’t care to try and fight for more just because of how chill everyone at this store was. All in, we were about $1500 under sticker OTD, no trades or anything and we have 6.25% sales tax here in TX.

Pops is stoked

How can I get these deals in WA? I talked to 2 of them and they only offer $1000 to $1500 off MSRP and no discount for custom build.

I'm looking to get a X7 with Premium/Parking/Driving package and trailer hitch.

Any recommendation on SF bay area dealers? (also open to a broker if i can get a great deal) looking to custom order 40i. one dealer verbally offered 6% off the MSRP but clearly that is not a great deal based on the latest replies here. Thanks in advance.

Any recommendations on BMW dealers in Dallas area? Some I have visited like BMW Grapevine are not budging below MSRP, probably went at the wrong time.

Is this a good lease deal?

I'm looking at the X7 40i and custom built to a $95.5k MSRP. A local dealer was able to place the order for me and offered lease terms of $5k driveoff and $1220/mo (10k miles / year). It seems like a good deal based on my research, but would love a second opinion based on what I've seen in this thread. Thank you!

Some additional details: My current lease expires in April and they've offered to take that in as well regardless of how many payments are left after the car is ready.

This is not a good deal. ~5% off (plus they are keeping incentives).

Thank you for the input, do you have any counter offers you'd suggest to be on par with good deals in the Los Angeles area? And any advice on how to help get them to go along with it? Thank you!

I'd contact a broker. You should get a minimum of 8% off + incentives I think based on the broker who posted above.

Incentives you should at the very least get loyalty since you have a BMW now. Not sure what else you qualify for (and incentives for Jan I don't see yet) but last month it was $2500 in incentives combined on a purchase. Someone more knowledgeable than me will have to chime in on lease numbers. But on an $95.5k build you should be looking at $88k minus incentives.

There have been a lot of new posters in the past few weeks, all asking essentially the same question regarding the "best" deal. I know everyone wants to save the most amount of money and piggyback off others, but all "deals" will be specific to the market that you are in and some deals may be one-offs that you cannot replicate. And the best discounts are usually on inventory that is on the ground vs a custom build. Here's some advice to help:

1. Working with dealers on getting the "best" deal depends on you arming yourself with pertinent info before you contact them, at a minimum know what the current month's incentives are (MF, lease cash, finance offers, incentives you qualify for i.e. corporate, fleet, etc. Edmunds is the best place to start to get this info). Being an informed buyer is an advantage so you know you aren't being taken advantage of by a dealer.

2. If you want to contact multiple dealers around you, let them know what you are looking for (inventory or custom build), what are your terms (I just get straight to the point and tell them my lease terms i.e. miles/yr, zero down, first month plus fees, etc).

For example, "I am interested in X stock number or X custom build. I can come sign if you an do Y% discount with base MF pre-incentives, and I also qualify for Z incentives (corporate, fleet, college, etc.), and would want these applied as well. I am looking for 12k/36 months, first month plus tax, title, doc fees, etc."

Once you start getting replies back, you can start leveraging discounts against other dealers to try and get a better discount. Obviously, don't just email blast everyone with no intention of moving forward. The last thing a dealer wants is someone who is just testing the waters. Be prepared to sign if you get the right offer, and tell them that as well.

3. Finally, if you don't want to play the dealer game (which I gave up on after years of getting tired of it and just not having the time), work with a broker (there are numerous ones on leasehackr who have great reviews and feedback. I would read the seller reviews to get a better idea/comfortable with who you want to work with). Most brokers have dealers who are region dependent, and you will see that in their posts, plus they have spreadsheets that outline what stock they have and what discounts and incentives are being offered. Once you find a broker, tell them what you are looking for, they will let you know what their dealers are offering, and the discounts are usually very competitive. You will pay a fee to the broker (terms are different depending on who you work with) who will get you a competitive deal without any of the legwork I mentioned above. I have gotten my last three BMW's through the same broker. For me, its convenient, straightforward and no bs.

Hope this helps. Sorry if it was too long or pedantic, but seeing a lot of new posters I figured it would help. Good luck!

I feel the main thing (especially on leases) is try not to negotiate on the amount per month. Always work on what percentage off MSRP plus incentives. i.e. the capitalized cost. This will give you a clearer idea on what the deal is.

6% BMW finance from Las Vegas today, WTH.

they tried to give me 29k for my 2019 40i with 49k on it and when I asked what kind of deals for cars on the lot, he said what you see is what you paid. I didn't even bother giving them a chance and walked out.
]
Autonation is offering quite a bit more to buy my car. Will just do that.

If anyone have a contact that's willing to work can I please have it, Anywhere in the west coast and even mid west.

Many thanks for this super helpful post …. I’m just starting my search for a solid price on a new build for a 2024 X7 and have found this particular post most helpful as I dig into the current state of X7 pricing. Having done some initial due diligence and having spec’d 2 different X7’s (both around the $100k mark), I had my first call with my local BMW dealer to get their initial pricing. Not impressed so far with their opening offer of ~2% off MSRP in the Northern Chicago suburbs, but it’s a starting point to work from.

This will be my new boat hauler and winter beater, so I’m not married to my own build. I would be happy to take the right car from a dealer’s inventory as long as it had all of my essentials (ie, towing package) and ~90% of my preferences which I assume will carry a bigger discount to MSRP. Anyway, thanks for the helpful advice for those of us who are just starting this journey and I look forward to digging into the combined wisdom on this forum for all my X7 questions

I m no lease expert. I m just basing my thoughts on discount you are getting - total discounts appears to be 5.2k ~4% which I don’t think is a great deal. I have heard brokers do bette than this.
And then there is upfront cost - if it’s not taxes then dealer is robing you.

Also this is same deal as advertised on bmwusa. Dealer should add more to it.
