Our new X7 showed up at the local dealer yesterday but they won't delivery until 3/1/19 no matter what. Apparently they don't even have financing or lease info available yet which is even stumping our salesman.

This rollout is very bizarre. Just take my money already...

Totally agree. Mine has been at dealer for a week and a half. If this was a 2020 model - I might be more patient.

Why are the emblems / badges on the rear gate placed so high when BMW has been placing them lower on newer models like the X5?

Removing them entirely would be my first move.

I thought of this also - i think a de-badge would make for a sharp looking car!

Take those wraps off yourself......it's so satisfying. Plus you can save the plastics for the seat when you bring it in for service

Not a bad idea.

We were an early adopter of the Tesla Model S and I stripped the horrible letters off the rear of the car the day we took delivery. It looked a million times better IMO...

The buyers of M4 as an example and X7 belong to completely different customer segments.

X7 has an eager waiting audience and will sell very well.

I was at the auto show couple of years ago and decided to take a closer look at the Escalade (with zero buying interest). "How did you like it?", GM rep asked me. I replied, "I am not sure if I like the steering column mounted transmission lever which came from Chevy Silverado".

X7 will sell very well especially in Texas.

Nice observation.

The X5 always had its badging above the taillights in its first three generations...I don't understand why they changed this for the G05.
