Anyone have any mods planned yet?

Im in the process of ordering Black Grill and Front Reflector Deletes from IND. Prob drop off at the dealer and have them install for me before delivery. Im also going to make sure the dealer is not installing front license plate bracket. Then, I'll drive right to my local tint shop and get the front windows tinted to match rear, have them wrap the chrome on the truck lid in gloss black and tint the reverse light lenses. I want to replace the exhaust tips with black as well as the replace X7 badge with black and delete the 40i badge. IND was saying they're hoping to get those parts soon, but have grills and reflector deletes on the way. Ill scrub air bag warning labels off the black visors and that should wrap up my must do list. Anyone else got something planned?

Look forward to seeing it. Can you post a few pics here when it's done?

You also need to get the hood and trunk roundels with the black trim instead of the chrome from IND. Those are super easy to replace yourself.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll ask about those. I didn't realize their was chrome on them. Can't have any of that, of course!

We should have our site populated with G07 X7 parts early next week. Most of the parts are inbound from Germany currently.

Yes, it's super subtle, but I bought them for my F90 M5 and they really make a difference, IMHO.

Black out anything that's chrome and some 22" wheels from HRE.

Still waiting on my C300's for the M3 though.

Sounds awesome. Which HRE's you thinking? I've been looking at a few different wheels(contemplating the idea myself) I love a few on other cars but not in love with anything I've seen, to get serious yet. I'm not sure of the bolt pattern and offset on our X7's. I hear the guys on the G05 forum are finding it more difficult to fit wheels around M Sport Brakes too.

Maybe some P103's from HRE. That's the great thing about paying a bit more for wheels, offset and everything is custom as the wheels are made to order.

I also like the high spoke count on the P103's, kind of has that Alipina feel.

IND told me these grills come from BMW Germany painted in Black. Is that true?
I ordered the front and rear deletes from them for my 50i carbon black.
Not sure when I will get it. It was week 8 production.

True, It's a BMW factory finish. This was my first time buying from IND and I'll tell you without hesitation I'll never buy a part from anywhere else but IND if they have what I need. They are a Very Honest company. I happily paid for my grill before they had it in from Germany, the price I paid was the grill plus labor and material to paint it in house at IND(same process as G05 black grill they sell) it was $695. I knew it was going to be more than the x5(because everything is)and I didn't care, I just wanted it. I randomly get an email one day from PayPal with a refund of $248 from IND with no explanation. So, I emailed Ryan who I was working with there and he told me the grills just came in and are already black from BMW, and they didn't have to paint them in house. That to me is the true definition of Integrity, they could've made a lot more profit on me and I wouldn't of known better. You rarely find that these days, so they have a customer in me for life now. Sorry for the long answer

Thanks!! Will def get that too. But contemplating on just keeping X7 in black and completely deleting the other lettering. Do you think that will look good?

Also I was looking to have the chrome strip running across the taillights to be black. IND don’t have a answer yet to that.

That's a good point. That's a big strip of chrome, that BMW put there to make it "more 7-series like". For those that choose to black-out the chrome accents, you've still got that big strip. I wonder what that would look like blacked-out too. Unless you have a black colored car, that's a big strip of black now, not just an accent.

Looking at a picture that N3M3S1S posted, I'm thinking on a white car that strip would look good blacked-out, if it matches the black trim around the rear window. Particularly with the M-sport black accents.

I think if you only black the lettering and leave the chrome bar and chrome exhaust pipes that would be a mismatch.. I am waiting for IND to make all rear parts available in black. I have seen range rovers with all black and it looks nice..

Going with white non Msport, if that can be blacked out plus the front it will look great.
