Lease Rates

Has anyone worked out a lease yet? When will we know residuals and MFs? Did you work our pricing before ordering? Thanks so much!

The sales launch isn't until next March. I doubt we will know anything until then.

BMW initially estimated it to be March, but some people, who put in orders, have stated an ETA of late December.

Are those dealer allocations? It was advertised that pre-orders came before dealer allocations, correct?

Apologies from me too if that seemed directed your way. Was for the knuckleheads that thought they were taking delivery in 2018

Hi all,
We are interested in an X7 but prefer not to spend more than 1k a month for my wife's car on a 36/15 with say 3k at signing (NY tax 8 percent). Any hunch as to if this is even possible on a 40 Msport MSRP 80k?

I did a quick calculation using some X5 MFs and residuals assuming 5k off (don't even know if 6 percent off is even possible) and I am getting 1150ish a month.

I highly doubt we will see better MFs and residuals than the 2019 x5 (.00182 I think and 56 percent for 15k).

2019 x5 not cheap to leave either with these numbers.

Lastly, laser lights are not available on the 40? Any idea why?

On the laser lights with 40i:

They are available in other countries on the 40i. A rep from bmw in nj told me a few reasons why not on the 40i:

1. They are not full power as they are in Europe. Not much advantage over LED for us market.

2. Parts availability. If offered they'd likely not have enough parts to keep up with demand. This seems fixable longer term.

Doesnt make a lot of sense since they are available on the X5 40i, how do they justify that?

May be tough to do initially due to high demand but totally doable in the longer-term. Residuals are decent for some of the 2018 models meaning that they will get closer to the high 50s later during the model year and after x7's demand slows down after introduction. Make sure you check in with a couple of leasing companies in NY, they often offer best prices.

I would not be surprised to see the lasers available by the next model year. I have sampled the full power lasers on the bmw i8 and they are incredible.

The laser headlights are just for the high-beams, correct? On cars with laser headlights, you only get LEDs for standard beam.

I work for a local dealership in Lower NY and we have some reservations available still. Can't believe how many we got in the initial release in an email blast.
