It is because he did not select the leather dashboard option.

Unless the full merino is selected then you are given a Sensatec dashboard and door tops which in my opinion is absurd due to the cars price. If you want Merino doortops and dashboard with extended leather selected then you need to select leather dashboard for $1,200 :
That's just wrong for a car this price.

Looks amazing. White is not for me but your taste in cars (except the Lexus :-) ) is great. And next to the Lexus the X7 kidneys somehow look perfect sized

MB USA is worse putting trash MBTEX on their GLS SUVs... At least the X7 has leather standard...

I'd also be really curious to see how DHP is. I'll be getting an X7 in the next few months for the family and am deciding if the DHP is worth adding. I've never been a fan of how these big cars handle - had a big SUV a few years ago and felt it was a boat.

Let us know.

The interior of the X7 is beautiful. It definitely looks more than just a generation ahead of the previous X series interiors. I’m curious to see how it compares to the Lincoln Navigator as well.

The X7 feels like a Sedan in comparison to the LX570. Takes corners with ease and road feel is exceptional.
Transmission and Engine are sublime. The V8 has plenty of getup and go!

Well, the LX570 based on the Toyota Land Cruiser, is essentially a body on frame truck whose handling traits make it a lumbering and overweight rig around the curves. While the 5.7L V8 is a solid power plant, is technologically ancient and has an insatiable thirst for fuel. 10-13MPG on city is pretty common on this vehicle. Cargo space is not that great and the infotainment System is light years behind its rivals. The 8-speed transmission is lazy and slow to downshift.

The biggest market for these old Toyota SUVs is the Middle East. People ready to spend north of $85-$90K on one of these, should do themselves a favor and look elsewhere.

I think the x7 compares better to the Aviator. I feel like the navigator is a different size class. But both those vehicles have great quality interiors. I think Bmw takes the nod with the infotainment as idrive > sync 3
