Rear Seats wrinkled??

There is an Epic thread on the horrible rear seats of the X5 here —->>> https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1548610

wanted if owners who have received their X7’s can post their pics to see if the problem still persists in the X7

Crossing my fingers!

I definitely will not be taking delivery of my X7 if the rear leather seats are wrinkly.

I really hope BMW will not let their flag ship SUV share the same fate as the X5. I think X7 owners will be less tolerant given the extra $$ they are dishing out!

Attached is a pic from a coffee bench (basic leather) I snapped at the dealership.

I was expecting more wrinkles, but I find this acceptable. However, I think the merino looks and feels so much nicer, I think I will take that upgrade.

For me that’s the max wrinkles it should have, would pass with a C grade.

I won’t be taking delivery of my X7 if the Merino Leather looks like that.

You should be prepared to find a different car. There's no guarantee that the next X7 will be any better

I will just wait for the new GLS,if BMW isn’t able to produce the X7 with perfect seats. The CA i use at my Mercedes Benz dealer said the new GLS will be ready for delivery by summer. These vehicles are too expensive to settle for seats that are not perfect.

That's not the Merino. It's the basic leather (in case I understood you this way)

The leather quality in the Lexus LX570 is 100% better than BMWs, one more positive for Lexus in addition to its much better reliability and durability.

Are you talking about the stitching or quality of the leather. If quality you are saying it’s better than Merino soft leather?

Magna is now supplying seats for the X5 and also supplies X7. Lear I believe was the prior supplier

Too bad the rest of their SUVs are crappy and outdated. Their v6 engines are basically mild refreshes of 2005 engines and the v8's are also circa 2007. Infotainment is about state of the art for 5 years ago to boot. I guess that's how they make them reliable, by not updating anything...

I wanted the wife to get a RX350 as it would've saved us over $20,000 but even she got turned off by how outdated the the RX350 is...
She even noticed how slow it was on the test drive. I bet a B48 equipped G05 would outrun the RX350....

X4guy I agree - what I can see in the picture, it looks good overall. A couple minor wrinkles on the far left, just below where the shoulder would be
