Yeah , I was surprised by the outstanding grip off the line from the Ferrari in the wet .
Till I saw VET , he tried it in reverse ...

Plenty of room for Kimi before Vettel moved over on Max. For once Max bears no responsibility. I think it will be deemed a racing incident.

Plenty of room for Kimi ? Are you serious ?
There was not enough room , and surely not in the wet conditions !
It was like suicide !

On the other hand..Like I said above, I was really surprised by the Ferrari start grip on the wet ..
The start was actually irresponsible with this wet conditions , this race on this circuit had to be a rolling start from behind the safety-car !

OH F YOU NBC!!!
You manage to shove several ads between cool down lap, cool down room, and a few during podium??? Then cut short for EPL "PRE GAME"???
And there's no such thing is "over run", Two hour race is a two hour race!!! You know there's podium a while afterwards.

F***....NBC has to go....we've been suffering from the same crap over decade from SPEED to NBC. As if the race interfere with the commercial ads!

Rant done, all I can say was Ferrari was self-inflicted double DNF this time. Just not a good day for an Italian deli sandwich on a wet track with poor visibility.
What VET couldn't foresee was how was Kimi started. Just like HAM and ALO, they all had fantastic starts. When VET did his usual (like any pole sitter perse) squeeze into turn 1, the fast RAI made an ever disappearing wedge along with seb, leaving Max no where to go.

It was a gifted day for HAM. He then never put a foot wrong. But WTH is wrong with HAM kept complaining about Safety car every time he sees them. Geez....get on with it. Race Control don't intentionally put them on for fun.

Sad to see the pace of RBR disappeared all of a sudden, even after everyone switched to Ultra-softs.

I think the race was fine with conventional standing start, the only issue was Vettel squeezing Max without knowing Rai was right next to the RBR. If I had to put blame.

With the Mercs sitting on P5 and P6 on the grid, technically Seb can play it safe can run 3 cars into turns 1-3 and see how that pans out. But the urge to keep P1 into turn 1, seb decided to squeeze cause the chain reaction.

Sad that took out ALO as well, he had a lightening start as well!

Also the Hulk could finish somewhere P4, but pneumatic issues caused him on a long pit and eventually retire.

Agree, but sadly that's the nature of street circuits.
Also agree for Max, he didn't order an Italian Deli sandwich!

Actually it was Seb ruined the race. Both Kimi and Max was going straight at the start. I'd like to see Seb challenge lewis for the championship, but that's not the way to do it.

Speaking of which, the four years Vettel won the world champion. It wasn't as intense fight as he was on right now with Hamilton.
In 2010, it was 4-5 way race, and wasn't till the last phase of the last race that Vettel emerged as the world champion.
In 2012, Alonso was fighting with Vettel, but the Ferrari was a medicore car compare to the RB 8 was a much more superior car in that era.

Not until now, Seb had a chance for a championship with a slightly less competitive car compare to the leading cars (mercs) and he had to work hard and play smart.

Back to Max, I think its a year for him to test his mental strength. Many drivers had his fair share of rubbish cars.
Alonso, 2008/09 Renault, his Ferrari era, and of course recent McLaren!
Hamilton, 2009 McLaren, 2013 Mercedes (won a few, but never championship winning)
Vettel, the 2008 Toro Rosso, 2014 RBR.

I think Max will come more stronger and hunger for winning after this season!
