Service due date from IDrive?

I was checking out a 2012 e92 M3 with 16K miles. I am planning on getting PPI eventually but wanted to see when the last service was done. I looked at the Vehicle info from idrive, which showed that oil change is due 1/2019 or in 14000 miles. This would mean that the car had oil change about 1000 miles ago (as the interval is either 15000 or 1 year). Is this a reliable indicator of when engine oil was changed?

Yes should be. No receipt from the change? Would be nice to see if (that..) the car had another change in between as well.

I confirmed at the dealer that the previous owner had oil changed 1 year ago or 4000 miles ago. He/she didn’t drive much...16K miles in 5 years

It can be reset at anytime. It doesn't 100% mean the oil was changed.
