No thank you. If a store is asking MSRP I would tell the sales rep “keep it!”

Yeah sorry you would be an idiot to pay over sticker. My inbox was full, empty now. Happy to share my deal details. Never, ever pay over sticker unless you enjoy wasting money.

The X7 has one decisive advantage over the GLS for its core constituency (families with 3+ kids): Bucket seats in 2nd row which are still not available for GLS (mind blowing that MB hasn't introduced that yet).

I have a GLS450 with a sticker of $81k. My lease is $875 a month on 36/10 with $5k at signing. There is just no way, BMW will get customers like me with this offer.

The initial wave of hard core loyalists that will get the latest BMW no matter the price is not what makes a model successful and profitable.

BMW is more than five years late to the game ;-(

In my mind I see an X7 M50 type setup coming first - an M Performance type setup like they did with X3 M40. BMW gauged interest with it and it's been doing very well! X7 being so much bigger could be a different thing.

The GLS450 looks doesn't compare to an X7 MSport. Mb should definitely consider offering the AMG kit on the 450s.

Really weird how Mercedes-Benz USA does not offer the Sport/AMG package with the 450.

In Canada, the X7 is about $3k more than the GLS450 with the sport/AMG package but I think offers more standard kit for that $3k. So pricing is very competitive between the two models.

With all due respect, this is far too simplistic of an explanation and not accurate. The Leasehackr Calculator is the best one I know since shows how payments vary by state.

But essentially: Your Negotiated Price - (MSRP x Residual Value) = the amount you must pay over the length of the lease.

Then: (The amount you must pay / # of months) * Money Factor (interest rate) = monthly lease payments before tax, license, fees, etc.

Hope this helps - there are some super sophisticated people on this forum but also some inexperienced people that I would hate to see confused.

If you got that before, good for you, but it’s not happening again, I don’t care how long you tell people to wait. Even 59% is generous today. The figures you’re talking about are just not happening.
If she leased the 17 X5....that was an outgoing body style so the lease rates are going to be much better than if she had leased the car the first year the body style came out or even halfway through the body style. I suspect they increased residuals for 2017 to sell all of them or they gave a ton of dealer cash to move those before....especially if she leased it in late 17 or 18.

Can’t wait to see this Beast, If anyone knows any dealers in the northern NJ or NY have one to look at, please keep us posted!

I’m glad they matched x5 programs but wished the interest rates were lower. But interest rates are climbing pretty much across the board.
Hey, so all I was told there is for the X7 right now is the loyalty program. No 2k for financing through BMW FS. What are you seeing?

He's not wrong, he just answered what was asked:

Which is finance charge = (Capitalized cost + Residual Value) x money factor. Of course this is only one part to calculating your lease payment before taxes and taxable products. Depreciation cost is still required.

That's usually what new car programs are: loyalty credits for current bmw owners. Won't see any delivery or finance credits for a few months regardless of region.

No problem at all, I wasn’t trying to explain how a lease works just gave a simple response to a specific question that was asked.

Cheers!

Sorry for the misinformation.... I edited what I posted originally. I meant matched x5 residuals and 1500 loyalty program which is what I see from this

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1543178

Didn’t see anything about 2k finance credit on the post above for the x5.

For the loyalty program Does it have to be financed through Bmw?
One of the dealers said it had to which made me a bit confused, I thought apr/lease credit is separate from loyalty.
Also just to get this clear loyalty credit is separate from lease/apr credit and both can be combined if available?

Anyone have an idea of discounts of msrp
I've got 7 X7's on order at my store. Not one was discounted. Loyalty was the only discount in the form of an incentive.
Same here. MSRP is more than fair to ask for these cars. Especially since they don't go into production until March.

No Tax -$16,150
10% off MSRP -8,500

MSRP was $85,000
Out the door $75,500

Wife just can't decide if she wants the new X7 or Audi Q7.

He didn't say what the purchase price was. I have a similar deal because I was near 15% off MSRP. It won't happen for a while, but it will certainly happen again, likely with a MY2020 in November of 2020 when my current lease is up.

There will be a new GLS coming in 2h 2019. Expect the cockpit to be like the new GLE. 2019 gls deals will be very good in 2019. Expect the 2020 GLS to be transaction price competitive with the X7.

You also have the new generation of Cadillac’s coming out the same time as well. For last generation the main complaints were sub par interiors. despite the ATS, CTS, CT6 having better driving dynamics than BMW.

If GM actually listened to the interior complaints.... Cadillac is gonna be a force to be reckon with.... I guess my point is that it’s going to be GREAT competition in the next couple years as manufacturers are focusing on SUV which will result in Greatly cheaper rates for us customers

Personally my opinion... Audi has the best interiors at the moment. They were able to blend technology with luxury very well. Only issue with Audi specifically the Q7.... as a young guy ther exterior is ugly, I look at it the same way as most people look at Buick... for old people. The Q7 needs a refresh and badly because BMW, Cadillac, Mercedes, and even Volvo is going to leave them in the dust
