I believe that would mean "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" on the online tracker.

So it's taking around 10 days for the car to reach dealer.
"Production Begins" is not really when it starts. It usually takes 10-15 days after that before it actually enters the assembly line. Once it gets to that point it will move quickly all the way to Quality Check within about 12 hours. Then another several days before it's picked up by the carrier.

Pretty sure if it's scheduled to complete on the 8th, it would still be "Production Begins" online.

BTW, if you say "customer relations" after the automated system response you will get a human being that usually has much more detailed info in regards to scheduling.

Just to give you an update..yesterday my dealer told me that the production of my car has been postponed again until April 2020. This means that I will not get my car delivered before June 2020 (i.e. one year after making the order). I tried to get some information from BMW CZ and BMW AG, but neither of them responded to any of my emails. While this is extremely frustrating for me, I will be terminating my order and I will get a Q7 with 3 isofix mounts in the second row to get at least some reasonable car for winter trips to the Alps. Anyone with similar experience in Europe?

Car was shipped from factory on Monday and the dealer has it today... getting prepped! That's pretty fast and unexpected. I'm super excited!

I'm working on placing my order today, finally. Just found out that the full ivory white leather I'd picked means the production date wouldn't be until the second week of February, "since it's an individual option," my CA said. If I just do the extended ivory, production would begin in January.

I'm torn.

I was just told the same thing. By the time I receive the vehicle it's going to be March or April or I can then wait six months and have a 2021.

For all it's worth... My dealer told me 4-6 weeks but probably 4.

It had been 15 days and that little dot hasn't moved yet
Still at "ORDER RECEIVED"

I'm guessing the full ivory white leather like my build will move it to February as well. I'm not sure why it such a big deal.

I said screw it and just went with the extended ivory white. I did at least keep the leather dash. I'm impatient, and it wasn't really a big deal to me.

Finally took delivery, from ordering to delivery took around 3 weeks. Very happy with the engine and features. iDrive 7 on this is very different than iDrive 6 on my 2019 M5C

Three weeks? Man, that's crazy fast. Looks beeeeyootiful! Congrats.

Is that carbon black or sapphire black? Edit: Nevermind, I see it says carbon black in your signature.

Thank you! I love the color more in person. My cars have always been black and blue and this to me is best of both worlds. Wife always wanted this type of color.
I was prepared to take delivery after Christmas, maybe on 30th after my vacation but it was a surprise when my dealer called on Wednesday morning to pick up the car.

Got a Carbon Fiber Digital Key with M logo. Feels pretty cool! I think they started issuing this recently.

My build finally entered the assembly line! How long did everyone's take from here? Seems like it should be quick.

Detailed info found here:
https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=894728

United Road Logistics is the carrier to the dealers. The above link details how you can get access to their tracking. Just skip down to the VDC to dealer section. Basically get a VIN from dealer inventory and get the delivery receipt for it. Then register a new email address. Voila you have access to all tracking for that dealer. You can then enter your own VIN to get your info.
By the way this works. Pretty awesome

Yes it's covered in the thread. I tracked mine once it left the factory. If you want to PM me your VIN I can tell you if United has it and where it is.
