Transfer active call from phone to car at startup
Encountered this today and could not figure it out. I was on a call walking to the car and after starting the car (while still on the phone) I could not find away to transfer the call to the car. Carplay function was not available and there doesn't seem to be a switch to bluetooth function since my phone was showing as already connected to the car. I tried searching for an answer but have not found anything helpful. Once i ended the call Carplay popped back up.
Anyone else have this problem? |

I'm not usually in that situation but the reverse is a problem for me, arrive where I am going and on a call, car either wont shut off while in call or the call will be disconnected, want to switch to the phone after leaving the car while still on the call.

I guess I'll make some test calls and try to figure this out. May have to disable wifi and Bluetooth on the phone manually to exit if there isn't a solution. I might stop by a genius one afternoon to get this on their radar if it is a gap in functionality.
My '18 Grand Cherokee works flawlessly transitioning in and out of the car w/ carplay. |

I'm an android user, thus not using carplay, but everything with the blue tooth connection works as expected for me. The car takes over the call shortly after startup automatically, and if I want to disconnect the call from the car I either "transfer to handset" from the car, or press the bluetooth button on the phone app and I'm on my way.

I think my problem is that my CarPlay almost never connects automatically when I get in. I have to select the phone and then it still seems to take a minute or two. I actually made one of the memory buttons the mobile phone page to select quickly. Once it's connected everything is fine but if I am on a call it won't connect to CarPlay until I am done. I am on IOS too.
I'll keep playing around with the settings. We have only had the car one week. |
