Does the trunk 12v outlet turn off when the car is asleep?

Does anyone know if the trunk 12v outlet (passenger side) turns off when the car is off? I had a device plugged in there, and received a few "vehicle battery didn't shut off" warnings. Unplugging it makes them go away. I suspect that outlet remains on? If so - does anybody know of a way to program it or enable the outlet to shut off?

What does it say in your owners manual about the 12 volt sockets? When I look in the rear index of my F15 X5's owners manual (under SOCKETS)...this is what it says:

i have my rear facing cameras hooked into the fuse for the rear socket, pretty sure it shuts down when the car is locked and goes to sleep (~10 min)

I looked in the manual, and it implies that the socket should turn off: "Principle - The socket can be used for electronic devices when the standby or drive-ready state is switched on."

So that implies everything should turn off. Super weird I've been getting the "Start engine. Malfunction while shutting down the vehicle electronics when vehicle is stationary. If the problem recurs, have it checked by your service center" message only when the valve controller for my exhaust is plugged into the 12v socket. Faulty valve connector? Or potential coincidence. Will have to plug the controller back in and see if the message comes back.

2024 X7 here. I waited a few minutes and can confirm I have the same problem as yours. If there is some load using the rear 12V, the car doesn’t go to sleep
