BMW Advanced Car Eye 3.0 Pro with Display

I have an 2024 X7 (April built) and I see the BMW website have a new accessory called "BMW Advanced Car Eye 3.0 Pro with Display" with the new 2024 X7 build. How different is this from BMW drive recorder? Thank you!

It is completely different. Advanced Car Eye is a dashcam

I am quite interested in this dash cam and waiting for the official release. But when I checked it from BMW web site, it says the it is not compatible with 2023 X7.

My understanding (dealer sent us a YouTube video about it) is that it only records like 1 minute bites not much different from drive recorder built in, and it is a big thing on the windshield, and costs 3x what other good dash cams go for so we initially were going to get it but are passing on it now.
