Crystal Shifter Scratch

Hi All,
I am a new X7 owner and just came back home with a really nice CPO 2021. It is nicely upgraded and has the Executive package, including the crystal shifter. I know for sure the shifter was in perfect shape when I bought it, but I am just now seeing a thin scratch, a little less than a cm on one of the crystal/glass faces. 90% sure the dingdong at the state inspection did it today, but I noticed it way too late.

It isn’t so bad where I think that we need to replace it, and I think something can be done to make it look better. Does anyone here have any experience with what might work best to try to polish it out. I am down the rabbit hole of considering diamond paste and my dremel - an idea my wife is not fond of.

Anyhow, I thought I would reach out - I imagine someone has been in the same boat as me and I could learn from experience.
Thanks!

No Dremmel as it may cloud the surface being way too aggressive.

Try any polish designed for plastic like motorcycle windscreens, etc…. Or better yet try some paint cleaner/polish that removes hairline scratches. Stay with a very light polish/compound first.

P21 polish is my goto for anything like this.

I'd use a different word than dingdong.
