Finally replaced the Pirellis for Michelins

Got rid of the Pirellis and was finally able to find a set of the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV run flats in 275/40/22 and 315/35/22. The ride quality is improved the new tires are quieter and seems to drive smoother like the Michelins are softer absorbing more of the bumps in the road resulting in a more cushioned feel.

Very glad to hear that Michelins are finally available.

not in stock sizes. the mercedes fittement of 285/40/22 and 325/35/22 are avail in non runflat, but the rears are a little too wide for the stock bmw rims. (spec min width is 11, the stock rears are 10.5)

I have these on my SQ7 and LOVE them. They hold the road in both dry/wet, are quiet, and have no MPG impairments. I can't speak to winter precipitation as we rarely get frozen precip in SE VA.

So long as they wear pretty well (40K rated), I'll be buying these for my SQ7 again and likely the X7 when the time comes.

these are pilot sport 4 suv zps, summer only, and 20K rated (10K since the tires are staggered), i think you have the as version.

Do they have a AS version in 22”ers? Now that would be a tire I would want on a SUV in how I use it.

275/40R22 108Y XL BSW model is non run-flat (front). But not seeing similar option for rear. Costco is the only seller.

They are only expected to last 10k cause of staggered set up? I have 12k right now on my continentals and I bet will get another 5-8k out of them.

The treadwear warranty is cut in half because they cant be rotated.
The actual wear will depend on use. The pirelli and contis that come stock have no treadwear warranty

Nice, I have a set on order. Discount tire will price match with Costco. However you will
have to get in touch with store manager to get it directly from the manufacturer. It’s still a pre-release item. National roll out is this fall what I was told from DT rep.

15 is what I got out of mine. Rears are at 1/32. Front are at 3/32. For the rear it went from 4 to 1 within of 3K miles.

dumb question: how can I tell if the tire is RFT or non-RFT on Tirerack? It looks like they don't have this category.

Tirerack has a filter category that let's you filter for RFT or Non-RFT tires.

And you if look at the description of the tire, right under size, it'll say Run Flat if it is a run flat tire.
