I think this looks great. Most new BMWs look better in person than in press photos. So some of us will have to wait and see. But I think BMW has learned from its ownership of Rolls Royce, people take big grilles for road presence. And I personally think this will command a lot of that.

Oh my, what's the curb weight of this beast? Maybe it just looks bulkier than it actually is. Looks are subjective but I am not loving the new suv design language with that huge grill. Anyone tried a render and made it all black to hide the bulk?

Why M everything?

Here is my take on BMW M package but not real M. I think M label should be kept to sport performance and that for SUV BMW should "consider" in my humble opinion something more fitting with the desire and performance needs of an CUV/SUV driver(s) - perhaps a trail rated SUV or endurance brand like Range Rover did... I think to get good pricing on M equipment BMW over order M parts and then charge everyone for them. I like my M4 but I truly believe SUV packages should be more tailored..
ok now I said it everyone is going to disagree .. but I still think Diesel is needed here because this car need to work not go to high speed chases

I'm sure they'll produce a diesel version at some point. It would be surprising if they didn't.

why the hell would they made three turbo m50d, when it should be at least quad turbo, 750d is quad, so 50d should be also quad especially when it is m performance

I'm sorry... I thought M Sport was suppose to stand for something.. i appreciate its all a marketing ploy to make it look better but M Sport?! This thing is sooo heavy and sooo big at what point does this look sporty?

It's like putting a salad leaf on a 22" deep filled cheese crust pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and saying 'it's healthy' or even saying a fat lass in a tracksuit is athletic! I very much doubt any buyer anywhere will take this leviathan near a track!

Saying that though... i do love the look of this beast, as big 4x4's go I'd have this over a merc or Range Rover every time!

It certainly has "Huge Presence". And that seems to be the idea with these land yachts. So I'm sure they will sale just fine.
I prefer the Benz GL in this category or even Escalade.

I haven't seen the set up but I bet it's twin-sequential turbos serving 3-cylinders each.
