Winter tires or Studded snow tires?

For my 2019 X7 All-Season Tire size is: 285/45/r21.

Below are supported winter snow tires from Discount-Tires. You can request R21 as well. I was looking for studded Snow winter tires and wheels. We take lots of road trips and the most we may need winter tire is 2 to 3 months in a year.

275/50/r20
285/50/r20
295/45/r20
295/50/r20

So here is what I installed. Studded Snow Tires: 285/50/R20 Wheels: 8.5"/R20.
I orderedd via Discount Tires.

Total cost with 15% discount: $2,220.

On my iDrive for the list of tire selection see below picture but the automatic air suspension made the auto. selection and adjustment. The system has selected "Other Tires" option.

Thanks.

Wife was driving in snow and ice yesterday; she calls and says thank you hon; she loves it... She says: on highway it's like a sports car; in the back roads on snow and ice it's like a tank..
