Am I The Only One Who Hasn't Seen Another X7 On The Road Yet?

This is getting crazy.

I live 25 minutes from Manhattan in one of the densest and most affluent suburban regions in the country and have owned my X7 for 5 weeks. Furthermore, I live about 10 minutes from BMW's US corporate HQ and around here you can't drive 10 minutes without seeing 10 BMW's, they're everywhere.

And this past weekend for Memorial Day, we took our first long road trip, 700 miles round trip up to Vermont, 11 hours of highway driving amongst thousands of cars through 6 states.

And despite all of this, I haven't seen another X7 on the road. Not one. Just me.

Did I disturb the time/space continuum or something? Or are there really just that few X7's in circulation?

I live in NYC and have seen 3 on the road so far. Some people have trouble telling the X7 apart from the X5 at a glance.

Same here. I live in an upper mid class area with a ton of x5 and range rovers. Not 1 x7 yet. Everyone is still waiting for theirs around here.
Maybe everyone got their new car over the holidays already.

I live in south Texas and have seen just as many X7s in the wild as I've seen the new G05 X5. I've been very surprised by how many I've seen.

Not me. It’s pretty obvious. Hard to miss the 4’ polished bar running between the taillights.

I've seen 5 other X7s within about 5 blocks from my house. I'm surprised by the take rate around. Then again, the GL/GLS is super common around here

I haven't yet seen another X7 in my area but Reading is small potatoes compared to Philly. I was talking to the BMW dealer and they've sold 4 X7's so far, including ours. I've had several people come up to me to ask about our X7, either to complement it or to tell me they're considering one for themselves. A woman coming out of the grocery store on Monday walked up to me and said she'd seen me driving our's several times and just loves how it looks. She said they've owned several X5's and they're considering trading their current X5 on a X7.

I'm the second X7 owner on my block in Westchester County. A lady down the block drives an Alpine White 40i. It looks nice. Thank God I chose the Arctic Grey. Didn't notice her until I ordered mine.. Haven't seen any others on the road yet. I think that's a great thing..

I live in a remote town 2.5 hours from Chicago and was shocked the other day when I spotted X7. Agree it is rather difficult to spot X7 from distance since it can be mistaken for X5. But it was easy for us as we wait for our own. I think there were over 2000 units sold (if I remember correctly) in first month.
I wouldn't mind though if there is none around me and I be the first one to own
one in my area

I'm in Alexandria, VA and seen a handful on the road, there's 4 in my residential community, and 3 at my HQ in Bethesda, MD.

Oddly I've seen more X7s than X5s, LOL.

Interesting on the different reports on different regions of the country.

We were stalked on 684 in New York by a woman in a navy blue GLS for about 5 miles. She deliberately slowed down, let me pass her, then drove alongside me making hand gestures to her passengers. Made my wife laugh. I notice people noticing our X7 all the time.

I was told...

That I'm the only one on the road in Thailand...for now. Another one get delivered to a customer tomorrow. Wonder what the chances are of bumping into him/her?

I'm north of Boston and haven't seen any yet. Clearly don't visit the same areas as JFU. I do expect an uptick soon given how many GL/GLS are around.

With Bangkok's traffic, might be rare

In my area (north of Tampa Bay), I haven't seen a single one yet.

I have to say though that luxury vehicles in general are hard to find.

We've had our X7 almost a month. Recently took a 3000 mile tour of TX, NM, & AZ. Still haven't seen another X7 in the wild.

I just took delivery of mine last night in Minnesota. I had not seen any others previously on the road, but funny enough I went to leave the parking garage at work this evening and there was another one parked right behind me.

A lady knocked on my window the day after i got mine. She was driving by and made her husband stop so she could come check it out. Turns out, she was driving a GLS, which is what I’d had until the day before, so she loved being able to compare the two.
