That rear angle is unforgiving on a lot of vehicles. I don’t fault the x7 for that view. Not a deal breaker for me. Front, front 3/4, rear 3/4, and profile all killer

I haven't tested it out yet, but if the 3rd row is sufficient, my next family SUV will be the Volvo XC90 T8

Nice, I drove the very first batch and I like it.
Safest car on the road
I was amazed by touchscreen and camera quality. In general I like the XC90
It's turbo and supercharged but it was not enough for me but, the battery pack was not out at that time. That will make a big difference.

I end up getting X6M

great to hear that you liked the car. What did you think of the 3rd row room?

You will like it, more room then any suv besides BIG suburban and Escalade.

Volvo fitted an ultracompact multilink rear suspension with . . . a transverse composite leaf spring!
And you seat lower in 3rd row then any other SUV

I am digging the color. But honestly, that is too much luxury if you have young kids. OCD will kick in everytimw the kids ride in it.

I'm OK with the size of the grills. I guess the designers want them that big to show it's not identical with the X5 a bit, more than the functionality to the car.
I don't have feelings for the rims. They look like the style on the Alpina series. They are too soft for such a strong SUV like X7. Change them.

yeah, depends on your needs. Some people can do with a +2 seating for the X5. Others need a true 3 row SUV. IMO, with the 3rd row up, the X7 is still too small compared to American SUVs

The Lincoln Navigator, trust you won't be disappointed. The Volvo is beautiful though.

This X7 actually doesn't look bad, want to see this in person. I wonder how it rides.

The whole point of these X7s are the 3rd row seats, otherwise we might as well get a X5 (or even a X3). Where are the pictures of the 3rd row seats? Duh.

We actually currently have the Volvo XC90 and are moving from that to the X7, we need more space.

As silly as it sounds, manual third row seats in the Volvo is a big reason as we put them up and down all the time with a load of kids and their stuff, and the seats are a real PITA.

Ugly grilles. Over time you will get used to it but it's not that attractive.

thanks for the feedback. But is the 3rd row legroom sufficient? Have you compared it to the X7?

alright, I'm going to have to go to my local dealer to take a look. It's funny, I've already tested the much anticipated X7's third row (I thought it was pitiful), but still haven't tested the third row of a car that's been out for 2 years.

that's true. Everytime my kids get into my M6, I just cringe a bit....lol

There's a lot of value in offering a base synthetic leather material

+1 Agree and agree even more. There isn't any amount of leather, plastic, and sound insulation that will hide Chevy Tahoe DNA from Cadillac Escalade. BMW X7 will sell very well mainly because its target market segment hasn't had a convincing leader for a while. So X7 sales will come at the expense of other vehicles (marketing experts call it stealing market share).

BMW X7 Alpina-like wheels are yet to make an impression on me.

is it actually the same platform as the Rolls Cullinan?
I see some optical similarities... doesn't mean it's the same tho, but would be interesting as the Lambo Urus can't deny the Audi Q platform.

Everything but the Grills looks good. I just can't connect with these gigantic grills. What ever happened to subtlety and understatement?

I havent been in an X7 yet, but the legroom in the XC90, in the third row, isn't great, but comparable to most. I have young kids, so it's fine for them.

xc90 has 1.4" less legroom in third row than X7. 3.1" less than Benz GLS. 2.7" more than Audi q7
