Now that the car is released do you think production will go quicker ordered mine on Wed received production number. This wait is going to be painful

Congrats on the order. Does your dealer have a production allocation slot?If you have a production number, you can call genius or enter it into my garage to see status. If it's order received they may not have allocated a production week yet if it's in scheduled for production status they should be able to give you a build week and give you a better idea of timing. My preorder was a week 8 build (Feb 18) and just today waiting for carrier assignment. So hopefully this week or next week I can pick up.

I think 1-844-4GENIUS line is closed Sunday. But give them a call and they'll be able to tell you a build week if there's one assigned or sales person can as well

Thanks I just called and was able to find out it's being started 3/13 so mid to late April seems to be when I'll get it.

From what I am reading on all posts two weeks would be a dream seems like the waits are longer than that

Deliveries only started 4 days ago. These ppl have been waiting months. I think 2 weeks might be ambitious.

it looks to me like he took a production slot that someone bailed on. that's a week 10 build (right now) so guessing someone that was interested in the vehicle bailed

Then does 2 weeks make sense? I believe it was another dealers stock inventory order, because there were a number of in production vehicles that I could have jumped on, this one was simply the right colors and packaging for me.
Wifey tough, only into blk / blk and I had to bend her to get the AG. Otherwise had to order one from scratch and no time to wait.

I was told that if I ordered it today, I'd get it over the summer.

Hmmm?

According to the link LCI x7 starts production in 8/22! I think that will have Mobileye Eyeq 5 for level 3 autonomous driving. I think I should do a 42 month lease instead of 36 when I get mine this month.

I wonder what else will be in the LCI exterior and interior wise, maybe cues from 7 series refresh? To order now or wait

One week would rock, but not holding my breath! Had to park my Wife's '17 GLS going back on lease early, due to over mileage and out of warranty. She's using my 73 yr old Mother's E350, which my Mom wants back ASAP! Don't know why, it's a '16 w/ only 7k on the clock! lol

Many of us have been told very aggressive time lines by our CA's when ordering/ purchasing only to be disappointed later by the reality of delays and miscommunications. I would take what the salesmen say and what online tracker says with grain of salt. My vehicle has gone from production begins back to order received 3 times, then when production began it's sat in quality check for 2 weeks, now it's been stuck in waiting for carrier for almost a week. My salesman called me Monday and told me it should be at dealer Friday. It still hasn't left factory and it's weds. Doubt it's leaving anytime soon or making it to CT by Friday. I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer here and maybe it's just my build but just be cautious. Anyway, best wishes Hope your build goes the opposite of mine and is at your dealer in short order

[L]ife [C]ycle [I]mpulse, aka facelist. BMW has for years adhered to the a slight facelift (small tweaks) of 3-4 years after the release of a new model, followed by a complete redesign in another 3-4 years.
