I think that’s the latest build, at least that’s what BMW NA told my dealer to do on my ‘24 X7 when my right screen had a 10-sec delay on start up.
Hummm. I have not had a recent update but I just starting seeing my right screen not come on for 10 seconds. What is up with this? Last update was three months ago.

Now what I find odd, disturbing, slightly frustrating, and confusing is that it appears that the X7 is the only model that receives these new lighting effects free of charge! The same welcome lighting effects are currently a $50 upgrade in the 7 series (incl. i7) - even with its most recent iDrive 8.5 update. That said, I was only able to find a description about the new lighting settings/features via the connected drive store..... mannn I don't even know what is going on anymore lol
Played with welcome lights new settings. They change not only taillights behaviour but also daytime running lights (at least in my "Swarovski crystal" daylight case).

My 2023 X7 M60i says it’s up to date but has 7/2023.53. I assume that’s just because it’s I drive 8.0?

Some believe the glitch volume is normal across the industry, but from my experience, BMW may be the industry leader

Ohhhhhh - I never thought about trying these new exterior lighting effects/features on a X7 with the crystal headlights! Good looks!

Do you notice anything significant with these new exterior lighting options + your crystal headlights? I would assume its only visible when unlocking the car (i.e., the welcome animation)?

Slightly off-topic, but am I the only one who is happy that BMW model(s): X5/X6/X7 gives you the option to separate the driving modes and ambient lighting color from each other??

I find it weird, odd, absurd, frustrating, and ridiculous that changing the driving mode in the 5/7/iX/X1 will change the ambient lighting color rather you like it or not, and there is no way (as of yet) to separate the two.....
(e.g., switching to Sport mode in the i7 will change the ambient lighting to red and dark blue - rather you like it or not)

Maannnnnn - with BMW slowly pivoting towards subscription - based services/features (like those seen in the MY24 X1/X2 with iDrive 9 )??
I'd imagine some folks will eventually run out of patience and just tape their phone over the iDrive screen lol

thats the latest OTA. not sure if the 23's have been left behind. you'll get the latest when they do the brake booster recall.
i got 11/2023.42 when my telematics unit went out and they upgraded me to 11/2023.58 a month later to fix a leaking shock.
i believe the current release at the dealers is 03/2024.xx

Trying to carry out the 11/2023.50 remote software upgrade however following the prompts and the car parked nothing is happening
Is there a procedure in doing this from the main I-drive menu or is there a fault?

the usual culprits are:
Battery level
outside temp
level ground

Upgraded over the weekend. Only issue is the panic alarm went off randomly while parked in our garage. Wasn’t an accidental key push, so assume it was a s/w glitch.

My 2024 X7 has said on the phone and in the car there is a Update for 11/2023.73 for 2 days but every time I try to do anything to get the update it wont do anything and wont download. I also tried up update from their website to a flash drive and it cant find anything based on my vin number. I mean it's not that serious but I want to just see how the update process works and so far...it's a hard stop at even attempting it.

In the latest update just installed (11/2023.73), I have information about new "welcome light animations" - this also applies to the X7 (and if - how is it set / changed?) or only to the 7 series, the new 5, x2 and XM (those with the led frame around the grill)?

The only thing I know so far is what is on the dealer's invoice:

Live diagnosis entries for: error pattern management service solutions, programming required.

CAUSE: incorrect software

Connected battery charger, ran short test. Performed test plan for ELS. Test plan concluded to program vehicle. Programmed vehicle to the latest software.

I turned off all OTAs on all my BMWs. I only proceed with the updates when I see here on this forum enough feedback, or once it's at least one OTA version old. I don't have time to waste on non-sense BMW updates. They failed me twice already.
I’ve stopped doing the updates a while ago simply because I have to re do everything I’ve done with Bimmercode, and that’s simply an annoying waste of time. Especially when I never noticed a difference with the updated OTA versions.

Actually - it appeared only after a few hours interestingly enough (on some subsequent drive) - there are actually slight differences in the animation of the headlights and taillights. The rear animations are more spectacular, but the front ones are cool too - even without the Swarovski option.
