So uhhh.. I guess BMW cares about customers. ^-^

Yeah Yeah its nothing, but im a sensitive guy. Little things like this impress me alot.

So I did a quick mail-in servey few days ago.
I told them I want to receive monthly BMW magazine.
Servey asked me if I was interested in any other BMW cars.
I told them, "Convertible, Z4, M series".

About 4 business days later(today), I received a thick heavy package from BMW.

I got booklets for,
-All new 2006 M5
-BMW 2006 M (this is cool one. tells you about M cars)
-BMW 2006 3 series Coupe
-BMW 2006 3 series Convertible
-BMW 2006 Z4 roadsters
-BMW Magazine 01/2006
-BMW test driving guidelines
-And a thank you note saying they appreciate my interest.

I got major readings to do. Each booklet is so damn thick.
Thank you BMW.

Anyone subscribed to BMW magazine? How is it?

Dude, not to be a buzz kill or anything - but I think they care about the prospect of selling you another car. Not trying to be overly cynical... but c'mon.

Although this is probably true, I have found BMW service to be truly exceptional. Personally, I financed my vehicle through an outside lender, but BMW still contacted my insurance company before I drove off the lot and informed them of my purchase. I was so caught up in the actual delivery after having waited for so long that I forgot to call my insurance company before picking up the car. It didn't hit me until I went to bed that evening. So, I called the insurance company the next morning and they said that had I wrecked I would have been covered because the dealer had informed them of my purchase. I have heard that there are some laws that cover you within so many days of taking delivery of a new vehicle even if you have not yet contacted the insurance company first, but regardless this was very impressive to me. Furthermore, when I got home the evening after delivery, the dealership had sent me a tin of chocolate chip cookies as a thank you gift. Yes, sure, they know that I will be likely purchasing an X5 from them in 12 months, but they have gone way out of their way to accomodate me as a customer.

Hmmmm, interesting, but still a nice gesture. For what it's worth, when we bought our Lexus RX300 three years ago, we got nothing except lots of dealer problems here in Nashville.

Yeah exactly. I forgot to mention that in my post.
I was going to add "Or at least, they really want us to buy another BMW".

Eitherway, they are stuck up to us.

me: "SEND ME SOME MAGAZINES NOW! "
bmw: "here you go.... "

They are probably gaining back all the cost to send out these magazines for free by putting premium on 335s.

That's why BMWs are so expensive...to offset the cost of everything they send through the mail. I get something from BMW in the mail every other day!

Where did you get the survey? I got a call about 10 days after I purchased my 325i about the 'sales experience', but no survey.

I recieved my "Hire" dvd in Oct of 2003 with the purchase of my Z4. I believe they quit making/distributing them end of 2004 or early 2005. I recieved a notice in the "mail' about it.

Did you guys recieve the roadside assist card and owners choice card in the leather binder along with some more warranty info? In this, I also got a DVD from them highlighting BMW's heritage, technology, future, designs, engines, etc. etc. They call it the must have for all BMW owners, and I AGREE! This is some interesting stuff, and a dvd that I shall value right next to my: Ronin, Goodfellas, Casino, Snatch, etc. movies. My BMW magazine also came with this. Just wondering if anybody else got this dvd and your thoughts on it.

I agree with Ledzep. I checked pretty much every box but received nothing else besides the BMW mag.

BMW still sends me model catalogues and advertisements (actually, I've been getting a lot of M3 literature - they probably see me as the target market for that car) and I bought my cars years and years ago. I'm sure my continuing BMWCCA membership has something to do with that.
