Dealer wasn't willing to discount at all

Isn't that higher than it should be?

I have PCD coming up in about 13 days. My lease option on the 40i is as follows:

MSRP 94445
discount -2361
loyalty credit -1250

Net Price: 90833
lease origination 925
Doc fee 599
total taxes 3692

Balance $96049

Lease options for 36m/15k
RV is $52890 (56%), I don't recall the MF, but it has not changed for several months.

w/o MSD: $1570
w/MSDs: $1515
zero down

MSD is about 10850

How are they getting to $1925? What is your RV and MF in San Diego?

I don't know. I still need to decide - lease or buy. I've never leased before so the inflexibility concerns me.

I estimate a no money down purchase payment to be about :

60 months @2.99
$1725/month with 40K principle left after 36 months. Also, I would have paid an extra $5580 in payments vs the $1570 x 36.

You would also have a vehicle at the end of the 36 months as well

The lease rates on the X7 are terrible, it's a no brainer to buy when the payments look like that. A 100k X5M was leasing for 1100 to 1200 just to give you a comparison on money factors.

Greedy dealer - time to look elsewhere...

I would run from this deal due to the fact that this dealer wants full sticker which I wouldn't pay when financing, either...

Even with only 5% off which is easy to get now, the payment should not exceed $1,400/month and even at full sticker, a $92K X7 should NEVER cost $1,900/month. There is something seriously wrong with this deal and it's not (just) the MF...

Which dealer? Just because they are all Autonation does not mean they are all the same. I hate Encinitas, but Vista always takes care of me. Vista had several on the lot last week when I was in there.

Does your state require the sales tax to be paid up front on a lease? MF did drop this month according to multiple reports. I believe to .00165, but not 100%.

I think that's how it works, but its only on the amount being paid on the lease. A few years ago, Georgia was collecting tax on the full price the vehicle on a lease. Needless to say, no one was doing leases.

This seems like a good deal to me. Consider adding MSDs to lower it to ~$1,400 if my math is right.

This deal is on the money. Very similar to what I got in NJ. Do it...you'll love the X7

Best

This looks very good to me.

It also shows the direction where pricing is going. Slowly, but surely.

In a few months, the 10% off will be here.

I'm going to hold off until they get the laser lights back into production, by then I should get a better deal.

I will admit that even I am surprised how quickly the market moved on x7. I knew that the MSRP pricing wouldn't hold up for long but thought it would take at least 6 months for that to happen. This thread should be a good reminder for all looking to get into a new car on how competitive the market is and more importantly that there are deals to be had on new models for most brands. I remember reading and debating with others here that we won't see great deals on x7 for a while because it's a niche market, etc. Glad that many of us will be more easily able to afford these great cars.

Wanting to move forward on an X7 xDrive40i ... wondering if anybody is securing more than 6% off right now. I thought I saw that somebody was able to get 10% off this month. Willing to go out of state for the best possible deal. Thanks in advance!
