Did the residuals change since this was updated? If you calculate residual based on lease offer on bmw's site, it comes out to 59% for 10k.

Sample deal on his page has:
2020 X7 M50i MSRP of $101,895
Purchase option at lease end, excluding tax, title and government fees, is $60,118
60118/101895 = 59%
Same is true for 2020 xDrive50i & 2019 xDrive50i. Am I missing something?

In the final two weeks before your vehicle arrives, shop around and have your other local dealerships (you can even go State-wide) compete against each other. Send them a copy of your configuration and ask for their best price, then take the best offer and show it to the dealer when it's time to seal the deal. Tell them to match it or you will walk (at $2K off, that's certainly what I would do if that's the best they are willing to offer).
I wouldn't wait until then. You ordered almost a fully loaded car and if you wait and then walk away you may have to wait longer to get into a similar car unless you can find it at a different dealer. I would do comparison shopping now and then call your dealer and tell them to match or do better. I don't know how competitive your area is so one other thing to consider if you can is to do a performance center delivery and drive the car back from Spartanburg. I've done it three times. This way you can buy from any dealer in the US and get the best pricing.

Alright that makes sense - so it's not 59% for 10k. Spoke to a dealer today over phone and he said 10k residual for 2020 M50i is 58% — matches edmunds.

Was just offered 10% on any car available on the lot, 2019 or 2020. 2019 has a 2k finance credit.

I came an inch away from signing on a 2019 82k MSRP for 73.5 ish before the finance credit but the car didn't have driver assist pro which to me was a necessity. That was the only reason why I walked away from this one. I'm pretty sure I can find exactly what I want on someone's lot.

What was mind blowing to me is there was no biege interior option for 2020. So if you want a lighter color, ivory was the only choice which I was fine with but nothing on the lot. They wouldn't do 10% on a custom order so I walked.

Hard to say without all of the details (selling price, etc.). Assuming that's a $2,500 cap cost reduction and you're including tax, I'm thinking they're giving you 7% off including incentives and marking up the MF to 0.0014. It might not be a base MF and/or 10% discount, but it's certainly not bad.

If the first dealer I went to gave me numbers like that, I might have taken the deal instead of searching elsewhere.

I'm looking to put in a custom order with an $83K MSRP. What should I shoot for in terms of price? I'm in the Bay Area. So far dealers are not interested in committing to a price and want to do it when the car comes in.

I'm also from the bay, the dealer I was at yesterday say they can do 5 or 6% on a custom order. Pm if u want me to send u contact

My build would have been similar to your price as well but I can't get it sweet enough to bite as it is compared to the 19 on the lot.

Is your market not favorable? I hired a broker and got 10 percent off with base money factor, no sweat. $91k ish msrp, $1175 a month with first month due at signing, including tax. 15k per year.

Edit - I didn't qualify for any incentives.

I know my broker is local to my market (MA). Sorry. Based on what I have seen on the leasing site, you should easily be able to get what I got on my custom order in your market.

When you guys talk about 10% off MSRP, that's an out-the-door price, right?

I'm looking to buy M50i from dealer lot! Did anyone target for more than 10% before discounts? I was told that that there's $1000 lease credit and $1250 loyalty. Anything else I should be aware of?

FWIW, I can't find the "loyalty discount" anywhere on the BMWUSA website anymore. Can anyone verify a link, if it's still being offered?

I thought the same till yesterday when the dealer told me that there's a 1250 loyalty in updated bulletin. Can anyone else confirm this?
