Can I run 245/35/19 snows square on stock 19" wheels?

Will 245's stretch safely on the rear wheels? I have the regular 19" NON-ZCP wheels and I am interested in Michelin Pilot PA4 snow tires.

Thank you.

I would get 235 front and 255 rear. That's what I'm using on the 18's and they worked great last season. 245 might be a bit of a stretch for the back.

Do you have pictures of this? This is exactly what I'm looking to run this season.

Does Michelin's website say that you can use a 9.5" wheels for 245? If not I would question if that would be safe.

Will they look good being stretched that much? Likely not since that is a lot of stretch. Why not buy a set off used fronts from ebay or something and run 245 on 8.5 all the way around?

I believe tire rack even recommends at least doing a 255 on a 9.5 inch wide wheel. I've done the stretched before and just isn't worth any risk.

I run 235/255 on stock 18s and agree with not going smaller. Already a tiny bit stretched and no rim protection making a curb scrape more likely. I am due for new snows and will either go the same or wider to 245/265. The car actually handles ok. Any narrower and handling would suffer. Unless maximum snow performance is critical I would not go skinnier. I live in NH and we get some snow here and I can go where I need.

That would be almost guaranteed to rub since you can't go much bigger than 255/35/19 without rubbing and that would be a decent amount bigger.

Sorry for the late reply. I have some pics from last season. The white car is mine with the 235/255 winter tire combo and the grey car is on stock 245/265 Pilot Super Sports. Dry performance was pretty good, although I didn't really drive too hard. But most importantly, performance in wet and snow was really good. I was skeptical about driving a RWD even with snows but I can say that it defeats driving an AWD with all seasons.
