Surprise!... Express says Harsh winter on the way!

http://www.express.co.uk/news/weathe...ce-BBC-weather
For all those who've splashed out on winter tyres then this could be the winter it seems worthwhile....

Daily express has got to get it right one of these years surely?...

There were two days last year where my winter tyres were really useful (2 inches of snow, loads of 4x4s getting stranded, I just drove on without issue), would be nice to have more this year, it's a lot of fun!

If they run it every year eventually, maybe in 2027 they might actually be right.

If you have a team of Huskies surely the snow will turn to MUSH, I said MUSH!

Every ****ing year the red tops predict arctic conditions when they've exhausted all other stories ... and it never happens, at least not in London and most of the SE

we had a light flurry earlier this morning, temp went down to 1.5c, but warmed up again in the afternoon. Anyway just put the winters on the X5 at the weekend so ready for it if it does come

Snowing on Monday on the A9 north of Pitlochry, not much really, a bit of slush at the side of the road & briefly down to 0C over Drumochter. Was wishing I had the winters on at that point....

Drove back yesterday via the Lecht road through Braemar and up over Glenshee and it was +7C. Bizzarre.... but a very entertaining drive nonetheless.

Might consider putting the winters on this weekend, though I'm off to see Scotland get humped by the All Blacks at Murrayfield on Saturday, and since drinking shall commence at lunchtime (mainly for medicinal, blow-cushioning purposes you understand), messing about with 30kg wheels and a screaming hangover on Sunday doesn't feel like a good idea.....

They're quoting James Madman. I've skulked around weather forums a bit and he's a laughing stock. Has he even graduated yet?

So, looks like the Express might have called it right eventually...?

Do we think this proper winter weather is a one off and it will be back to mild, or is this going to be long lasting severe winter?

Re-reading that article it's been pretty much spot on so far.

But it’s the same article every year so it’s bound to be right at some point.
