Alpina XB7 allocations/ordering
Anyone have recent experience with ordering a XB7?
I'm hearing 3/4 months to 10/12 months; not sure which is accurate Thanks |

In my experience once dealerships get allocations there is a waiting list and they sell out immediately. First find a higher volume dealer as they get more allocations. Get on their list. If lucky enough to get an allocation mine took 10 months from order to delivery but there were two delays that pushed back production. If no delays I would have gotten it about 4 months after ordering.

Allocations open in late Feb most likely (at least they did last year)
I ordered the day after allocations opened and I took delivery late Nov. Make sure you know what you want as its VERY hard if not impossible to alter an order on the XB7. It's worth the wait and cost if you have the time and can afford it. |

So if you have thoughts on getting one, you need to do this now.

Not sure about what you said about allocations. The two dealerships near me found out how many they were going to have for the year and had buyers instantly. Both dealerships had more buyers than allocations so people were left waiting for next model year (myself included).

Allocations for all other vehicles are released monthly.

For the OP, totally worth the wait if you can. I love the Alpina XB7 and will probably get another one.

I had to wait from Feb till the end of Nov to get mine. I have only had mine about 6 weeks so I have not finished the break in (Im close!). I haven't pushed the performance yet but the ride in Comfort Plus is INSANELY comfortable. The handling in snow has been excellent! I have no regrets and I can't think of anything else available Id rather have in the price range. I test drove the X7M60i, Range Rover, GLS63 and the Maserati. |

Great thread with good intel. I’m coming to the end of my lease on an X7 M50. Great car and have been very happy with it. I briefly considered the Benz GLS 580 and 63 but both lacked the driving experience of the X7. My wife ended up getting the 580 lol. Anyway, my dealer said he would try to get me an XB7 allocation/slot, although perhaps these don’t really exist. I did get to drive the new X7 M60 and was definitely impressed, so I may ultimately wind up getting the M60 due to the scarcity of the Alpina. I had a B7 many years ago and loved it. Does the XB7 have a space saving spare?

I just ordered winter tires and went with the Blizzak as they are run flats and I didn't want to have to put a spare in the XB7. I considered the GLS63 and just did not care for the handling, it felt somewhat boaty to me. My G63 is less floaty to me than the GLS63 I debated another G63 but as I turned 50 last year I just wanted something more comfortable and plush. The XB7 has hit all the spots for me. I have no regrets. |

The space saver spare is not an option for the XB7, at least not at this point in time on the configurator.

Having run flats does not determine whether the space saver spare is available. For other models it is not possible to order if it is not listed pin the pricing guide as an option. Of course you can always just order the space saver spare kit but not as part of the build.
