I am guessing the OP refers to the loud exhaust sound whenever X7 M50i is started. I personally enjoy it but my wife complains it's too loud.

I have no idea how to make it quieter.

Yeah, no, not happening. Best you can do is lock the flaps closed, but even that's kinda silly.

Its not a "feature". There are several legit reasons why it's louder. Richer mixture, increased rpm, etc. Google it.

The only way to turn it off is via tuning...it's just there to warm up the cats quickly. Downside is exhaust will stink a bit more at startup.
