Siri misbehaving

I have an 2024 X7 m60i annd also have a new i5 with the same issue. I posted in the i5 forum but have not heard anything yet. Maybe someone in here has some insight.

On my old 2020 X5 (and other brand vehicles with CarPlay) when I activate Siri either via the button or “Hey Siri” the volume of the stereo lowers while I am speaking my command. Then once the sequence is over the volume returns.

On my x7 when I activate Siri the volume does not go down. So if Siri is reading a message to me or confirming my command I can barely hear it over the stereo. And sometimes Siri cannot hear me because the stereo hasn’t lowered. Anyone else experience this? I’m not even sure how to go about fixing this.

Thanks in advance.

That's a weird one. All I can say is make sure everything is up to date (Phone and car) and try turning the phone on and off and try resetting the idrive. That would be super annoying for sure.

I’ve reset and reconnected everything. Still does it. Real head scratcher!
