All of a sudden car play is not working…

The phone is connected / on the Home Screen Car Play is seen at the top of the screen / when I touch the car play text I hear a click but nothing happens.

We have tried with my wife’s phone as well

The iOS is up to date.

Any suggestions

I think CarPlay is haunted. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Mine always corrects itself within a day or so. Sometimes by resetting the system (hold in the volume button until it goes off and then release) or just by locking the car and coming back. Sometimes it just starts working by itself.

Try restarting the infotainment system. Hold vol button for 20secs and let it restart.

Tried turning off and on / updating software / forgetting the device and reinstall / using a cord to wire it in vs Wi-Fi or Bluetooth - nothing works.

I can play music and call through Siri etc but the car play screen just will not show up.

Has anyone else experienced this issue.

I had similar issue couple of years back and it was fixed when I restarted iDrive and iPhone.

to restart hold the volume button 30seconds when you are in standby mode
