Just towed this C8 321 miles. Average 11.6 MPG @ 55MPH (speed limit in CA for trailers) better than I thought

Nice rig! But it would look even better if you had a BMW on that trailer. Not that I am bias or anything....

Nice! I haven't towed a car yet with my 40i, but hoping it doesn't feel too slow. I tow my tractor occasionally, which is probably about 3500 lbs total with trailer and it does fine.

The X7 tows very smooth and fast. My rig is a conservative 6000 lbs fully loaded. I found myself hitting 75 mph without even realizing it because the X7 was towing so smoothly (I usually cruise at ~65 mph or so). I also use a weight distributing hitch with anti-sway control which also adds to the stability and smoothness of towing with my X7.

We just got done with a two week road trip with our 40i and this 30' Connect trailer. We went from North Idaho to Glacier National Park, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, up and over the Grand Teton pass to Craters of the Moon, Sawtooth Mountains, Seven Devils and back. It went up and down the steepest mountain passes with ease at 55mph+, "cruised" at 70mph on the flatter freeways through Montana and overall performed like an absolute champ. Dry weight of the Connect is nearly 6k and we were probably closer to 7k with all our stuff and the tanks full, etc. It felt much heavier than my boat/trailer combo which comes in right at about 6k. We definitely felt it back there bouncing a bit but it never felt unstable or unsafe. I used a wireless break controller and had a stabilizing hitch/bars. The only time it got a little white knuckle was in some cross-winds coming home and I could feel the trailer literally trying to push us out of our lane--one time it succeeded in actually steering me out of my lane a bit, but I was doing about 65mph at the time--slowed down to 55mph in those conditions and it was golden. It was hilarious all the looks and comments I got from F150 and F250 drivers along the way asking me at gas stations if I could actually tow the trailer "with that thing."
