The real issue here is that Urban Legend is often misunderstood. Urban Legend is hated by many and loved by few.

But the few REALLY love you, right? So that makes up for all the hate .

Back to the subject. What takes the most time is to remember how the hell to change it , as it's only done once every 6 months. Haven't driven the M3 yet, but my Honda changed by itself a few seconds after starting the car .

I think it is good for us all to practice our manual skills while we can. In a few years, not only will everything be integrated in iDrive, there is more.

I happen to know from informed sources that BMW is working on a new feature (shhh.....iRace), that will be part of the M-Drive menu. It will automatically plot the fastest time around a race track or autocross course, and then drive it for you. It will be coupled with both GPS, and DCT settings, and incorporate tiny HD cameras on all 4 wheels.

We are called Generation X A.K.A. The "Now" generation for a reason you know.

Or maybe the US should just eliminate daylight savings time so none of us have to spend 20 seconds per year artificially changing our clocks?

Had to manually change the time in my 997S as well. My wife's '06 X5 changed automatically.
