Hard to make a pretty, large SUV, and as you say, this one's hideous, by any standards
Fortunately, BMW still knows how to make good looking compact sporty saloons, estates and coupes in the 3 and 4 series. That's how I judge them, and certainly not based on any of the X cars

Garage List
All the details are there and we have a very good idea what the X7 will look like but I think many are still skeptical or have their reservations about the looks because the renders show a very flat front fascia and a very narrow headlight but I think once the real thing is released, many will change their view.

Although we don't see any part of the front bumper, the headlights are less narrow than the renders and seem to fit better.

Those were the camo pre-production photos.

The proportions between the grill and headlights is what throws everything off. The grill needs a reduction.

Pretty much looks like a GLS450 with a BMW front end. I consider the MBZ better looking, but neither appeals to me anyway. Those looking for big huge SUV's will eat these things up.

This and the 8 series have a serious case of the Bangle Buck Teeth.

(Ha. I don't actually know who the designer is.)

Okay the kidneys in this picture is seriously massive! But think you are right - most of the renders of all models always have this flat look that make them less dynamic

Looks like a f*ckin truck.

The only attractive full sizer is the Range Rover, everything else is varying shades of ugly.

With an identical dashboard to the X5, good luck for making this pass for anything else than just a larger X5 instead of an actual 7 Series SUV

There wouldn't be a problem with the grill if bmw put some thought into the front bumper design.

I love bmw but if you don't get the m sport package they are not good looking.

It's a fairly ordinary looking suv, if that's the actual design. Change the grill a bit, can apply any ford, gmc, Kia badge.
