Bootmod3 is a flash tuning (engine optimization), way outside the scope of standard coding. Completely wrong path for coding.
As stated, pretty much everything on that list can be done with Bimmercode, which is a mobile app and doesn't run on a PC. If you really really want to get deeper into coding, then it's ESys (software by BMW, free, but distributed "on the down low" by the community) and ESysX (software by a third party, paid) plus the PC and connectivity hardware you mention. But considering the slip with Bootmod3, apologies for being blunt, but you should start with Bimmercode first rather than ESys. For Bimmercode, you can use the OBD to Ethernet cable that sounds like you already have, but you then also need an interface from your mobile to Ethernet (iOS is Lightning to Ethernet and those all generally work the same and ok; USB-C to Ethernet for Android and those are hit and miss on whether they will work with your phone). Otherwise, there are WiFi (MHD Black likely the best right now) and Bluetooth (OBDLink CX likely the best right now) to OBD interfaces that can be used by Bimmercode (read Bimmercode info pages to get it right, Stephan tends to keep those accurate and up to date).

While there are always risks, coding is a misnomer. You're not changing any software (code), you are only changing parameters (aka FDL values) that are already present in the car software as programmed and updated by BMW. There are a few nuances, so if your MO is to miss hitting the nail with the hammer at least 50% of the time, then coding is also not for you. But it is for everyone else. For example, Bimmercode makes automatic backups and you can restore, but a) you have to be aware of that, and b) if you uninstall Bimmercode or wipe your phone without backups, you may lose those — that's an example of a nuance. Bimmercode is well documented and accurate, do read everything they publish and state in the instructions for a change as it does actually all apply.

- Auto/start off: a simple option obvious in Bimmercode; there is now ASS full on/off as well as the old ASS memory coding possible - Led light differnt colors: ambient colours can be coded in Bimmercode, but require one of the more complex Expert Mode codings; see: - Bimmercode methodology specifics: https://g05.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1738645 - Background and extra details: https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=27236854 - M logo on screen: obvious option in Bimmercode - Video playback on screen: obvious options in Bimmercode; don't miss the post-coding magic setup needed as instructed in Bimmercode - All alerts off (seat belt): various obvious options in Bimmercode - Bang and olsen hk sound upgrade: now this one is a bit tricky both because it's not clear what you mean and because whatever it is you mean is almost certainly well beyond Bimmercode

Not stock on G05-7, F95-6 that we've heard of before, hence not sure what you mean. If aftermarket, lots and lots of details to be figured out.

Hopefully ambient light color coding will be available for the G05 in Bimmercode in the near future. They released a Beta version supporting ambient light colors for the G20/G22 about a month or so ago. Given I don't have mine yet I have not tried it but assume it works, at least to some extent.

Strong claims require strong proof. This forum has never heard of this on G05-7/F95-6 platform, but would love to see creditable evidence to counter that perception.

ESYS can overwrite a whole module’s software with another (rolling your own from scratch is not a wise choice!), but it can also adjust individual software switches. BIMMERCODE only supports changing software switches. Which modules will work with your specific hardware takes some study.
If you want, you can download BIMMERCODE at BimmerCode.app and check it out in demo mode. If you look on that website, it will list what’s possible by individual model series. That won’t cost you anything other than a few minutes. Should you decide you want to use it for real, you need to activate it, which does cost some money. Flipping switches can get you into an incompatible state, but you’ve not changed the base software, only told it to operate in a certain way, and it is recoverable if you haven’t deleted the backup file(s). |

Just ignore esys, it is not something you should get into at this point.

BC doesn't natively expose those codes, but expert mode does, as does esys of course. |
