Online Owner's Manual

Sigh...Leave it to BMW to screw up everything they touch!

The online Owner's manual (https://www.bmwusa.com/owners-manuals.html) search feature no longer works. It doesn't matter what you type in the "Search" Dialog box. The results come back with "0 results found.

Does BMW intentionally go out of their way to hire idiots to manage their technology?

Garage List
when I enter my VIN, it directs me to download the BMW Driver's Guide app from the App Store. this is how I've accessed the owner's manual since December 2020.

That's exactly what I do.... And the search works pretty well.

Sometimes, it’s easier to use the one in the vehicle, and, it also has some videos to help you out that the copy of the printed one doesn’t have that you can download. So, yes, somebody messed up!

You might want to try an i-drive reset by holding down the volume control until it resets. That may restore the link between the search engine and the location of the new data file...

I've already rebooted iDrive.

I am sitting on my desktop computer in my office. Obviously, I don't want to go out to the car just to look up information I want to copy and paste on this forum.

My VIN# alone should be more than enough information for the online user's manual to determine what options my vehicle has. There should be no interaction between the online manual and my vehicles onboard digital iDrive manual. My VIN# should be the unique identifier for the online manual.

Are you able to go to the link I provided on a desktop/laptop computer and get results when you enter search information?
