2023 X7 can't sign in with BMW ID

Has anyone else had trouble signing in with their BMW ID on a 2023 X7? My mom took delivery of hers a few weeks ago, and the BMW Genius was unable to get her signed in. We always get the message "no mobile data reception at this location", despite trying many locations. The dealer has tried rebooting iDrive, and "sending a signal" (?) many times, and they seem to be completely out of ideas.

I noticed that the vehicle is also unable to set its own time... when you switch to automatic time, a progress bar appears then stops and the switch goes back to the off position.

Makes me think there might be a hardware issue with an antenna or something.

If my Mom owned a BMW I assure you there would be nothing but technical issues nonstop. She'd be on the phone with a genius daily telling them that the car is broken, and how do I move the seat again, and why does the music come on when I get in the car, and I kick the bumper but the tailgate won't open, etc, etc, etc... Good luck to you my friend.

Ha! This is my mom's second X7 and she's actually decent with tech. Maybe better than our awful local "genius".
