which suntory? i've tried a couple of different pours, but havent really found one that made me want to buy a whole bottle yet. maybe i just need some more "practice" with the different flavor profiles...

What is a grey mule? How does it differ from a Moscow Mule?

I've been mixing a lot of moscow mules this summer, and a few dark n stormy drinks as well. Just curious what might be in a grey mule though...

I expect a grey mule is a Moscow Mule with Grey Goose specifically.

you can make almost anything into a mule; love kentucky mules myself with either rye or bourbon.

I generally go for Fever Tree ginger beer, what one do you find to be the best?

I'm extremely limited with respect to the selection of ginger beer here (government regulated stores only...though some grocery stores have only recently been allowed to sell beer (no wine or hard liquor though)). So the only thing I can easily get is Crabbies for ginger beer.

Given the lack of ability to try anything else, I have no idea how it compares.

We have crafters popping up all over Ventura County these days. Started Saturday night with McGrath Mules, and it was a local, very tart ginger brew. I kinda liked it, but couldn't honestly tell you which one it was from. I had taken the wife to what used to be an old dive-bar by where she met me, when I was living la vida loca at the beach. If this new iteration of the bar had been there 20+ years ago, I'd be that guy (Norm) in the corner fo sho!!!! And by then, I'd probably be reduced to flip-flops as well (oh, the HORROR) MKSixer would be posting pics of MY toes on here

I'm heading for the loading station to get on the wagon. On call started about 30 minutes ago, only 13 days, 23 hours, 28 minutes left. MARK

Ginger Beer is easy to make at home. I’m sure that recipes can be found online but I make it with diced ginger, brown sugar, lime juice and water. Once it’s simmered, let cool and run through cheesecloth into a container. Just add a splash of club soda to add carbonation and it’s good for about a week.

This looked interesting. I liked the other Cask Mate versions, so I have high hopes for this one.

Hmm, noticeable citrus notes. Different, but tasty. Pretty smooth. Would buy again.

Since I can barely decipher that sentence, I'm assuming you're well on your way to la-la land. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

But yes, there is lots of booze I don't like. Gin would top my list. Hefeweizen is another. Any beer that has to be ice cold to avoid a gag reflex (usually has the word Lite in the name).

You deciphered it fine, was plain english. I dont care for lite beers myself but will drink most any type. Only thing I recall ever just pouring the hell out was a ballast point beer called tongue buckler.

Also I rarely have more than a single drink anymore, just doesnt work with my training havent had day off in just under 30 days now.

Real training starts after a few drinks.

I won't touch bottom shelf liquor anymore. Life is just too short to drink bad stuff, especially since it is never the ONLY option.

I won't invite you to certain of my family members' parties then <shudders uncontrollably> unless you choose abstinence. I've made that decision on several occasions, and get the stink-eye from the wife. So now I will accept and then just hold a Bud Light.
