I've spent about 30, or so hours combined behind the wheel on longer road trips of 6 hr+ this summer. Just
curious to hear from the X7 owners that have took there ride out on long road trips (6 hrs+ or so). Anything you especially appreciated or didn't particularly like after being in the X7 for a longer ride like this?

A couple of things I noticed:

1.) How useful and pleasant the Drivers Assist was. I experienced a lot less driver fatigue!

2.)For me, I wish there was a little more cushion underneath my behind. Even with the message function, I found myself a little uncomfortable in that area after several hours. The back support was great however!
My back has always bothered me on long road trips, but not in the X7 so far.

3). Surprisingly, I didn't encounter even one X7 over the entire summer, except for the one that was used by a luxury level resort that I stayed at for a week.

Thanks

I agree with 1 and 2. Same experience.

Agree with 1 and 2. Seat is very comfortable for about 2 hours then my behind starts to hurt. I weigh in at 230#. Gonna have to find a cushion to augment the seat on the long hauls. Expected better from such a fancy seat and expensive car. Massage function helps but it’s just not enough.

We did a recent 7 to 8 hr drive each way. Everything was great. It's so quiet and comfy. We usually stop every 2-3 hrs so seats seemed fine to us. Massage is ok, and we use it once in a while, but could do without it. I love the driver assist, especially in heavy traffic when it offers the enhanced drive mode. So nice to sit there hands free. We did a week long trip and never saw another X7 the entire time.

I've never tried the driver's assist, mainly because initially we had trouble with our sun shade and I didn't want to operate it on the trip we were taking. Now it's the middle of summer in TX and nobody wants extra sunlight on them. I also prefer my own music selections (I'll set up a playlist before every trip to keep me entertained). We're taking another multi-day (16 hours total each way) at the end of the month, so maybe I'll try it then.

I find the seat cushioning to be excellent for me, and Mrs H62 loves it as well. She's got the massage going even for short around town trips. She takes monthly 9 hour trips to go check up on her parents, and even with her back problems, still manages it easily on her own. I generally only use the massage for longer trips, or at the end of a long day at work.

The wife says she's seen another X7 around town, but after 3.5 months, I still haven't come across another in my travels.

When we bought the X7, I said if I'm going to spend that amount of money, I want it to be something I look forward to driving for long periods of time. It hasn't let me down in that regard. Usually the driver fatigue monitor warning pops up before I'm ready to take a break. I haven't figured out if it's really monitoring my "alertness", or if there's also a time component to the warning. I'd be interested to hear other long duration driver's experiences. Yes, I'm eagerly anticipating the 2 days each direction at the end of this month!

I’ve started seeing other X7s almost every day! I’m in the Nashville area.
