That's a lot of miles for a 4 years old car. I'm wondering how it was used. Maybe it was a rental car?

for a toyota thats nothing. toyota is now doing a certified pre owned program for cars up to 10 years old and 125K miles. not unheard of for a toyota to do triple that.

I use a driver that puts 120k miles per year on his Suburban. He usually keeps his cars for 5 years. Unreal what some of these cars can do.

Im just stating that a BMW x7 has a lot of miles. and since there isn't much data to go on for the X7, this could be useful to someone looking in the used market wondering about predictable reliability.

Exactly. My Dad told me how cars from his time usually needed to be rebuilt way before 100k...But anyone with a Chisholm manual could fix a car back then. Most modern cars no matter the manufacturer are pretty damn reliable until you throw in the floating Ipad on the dash.

You bring a very good point. I asked this guy why he didn’t buy the Escalade since he drives some high profile customers and he said that the Suburban is a work horse and very reliable but when you start adding all the gadgets that basically makes a Escalade a fancy Suburban you throw that reliability into the trash. He said the Escalade could never last the miles he puts into the Suburban.

There’s a reason the B58 in-line 6 won Ward’s 10 Best Engine award 4 times (2016, 2017, 2019, 2020)

I'd go even further. I think BMW ended the "consumer ICE" debate in the dawn of EVs with the B58. It is hands-down the best I6 engine BMW has designed in its history. It's the epitome of BMWs I6 engines and there probably won't be any better 6-banger ICE before EVs fully take over. Hell, even Land Rover Toyota, Subaru and others are starting to buy and implement BMW engines because of how well they fit in the market. They just have the perfect mix of power, reliability and purpose.

Well said. I put non Ethanol fuel in the 40i and it drives even better if you can believe that... so much all around torque like a Vtwin superbike. (Honda RC51, I own one)
