Tracer - With you. Need to sell my 135i E88 for the same reason. And probably the same color combination. Hope it goes well with you.

Flashed back to Stage 0 last night, on MHD V1.8.4. Didn't turn off all the customizations - thought that would be kinda automatic.
Idle was sporadic, response was weird, and although the big pops were gone, exhauist was a little more burbly on overrun than I recall. 30 miles in, threw the SES light. Re-flashed tonight. MHD V1.60. Turned off all the customizations. Stage 0. SES light is off. 30 second idle seems fine. We'll see how it goes in the mornning commute. If anybody wants a deal on the old ER charge pipe - it's in the classifieds.

what'd you go with? Just lamin-x film? or a new yellow housing? LED bulbs?

Shiny new rotors and pads installed
Zero complaints so far for the front and rear EBC reds. The anti corrosion coating on the brembo rotors is an almost identical match to the factory caliper paint. Last edited by Fishee; 05-03-2024 at 07:41 AM.. |

They are selective yellow lens lights bought through racing24.de. The lights are manufactured by Winjet and have E4 (Dutch) approval. Racing24.de lists them for the E84 X1, but they're the same parts as on the E82.

may have to give this a shot... i've used lamin-x in the past but wasn't thrilled with the results.

Just 5 miles to lunch, and it threw up the SES light. Last time it did this to me was 2014 or 2015 when a 3D-printed aftermarket intake self-destructed under the hood. Time before tht was bad gas. Only thing I've run since then is Chevrom Premium. Refilled yesterday right after that first code came up. I re-checked the hose clamps at the airbox and silicone boot. All fine. Perhaps air filter isn't seated properly? Or, perhaps, after 9 years on the ER, it just doesn't like the COBB pipe? (I switched back to the stock CP for a month every couple years - never had a problem like this.) Codes reported posted below. I cleared 'em, and am trying again...

How many miles on your 135, and how many on your primary (pre-cat) O2 sensor? It may just be burnt....

I bought it at 48,000 and haven’t replaced any of the sensors. I would suspect an old sensor, too, but all was fine until I replaced the ER CP with Cobb, and re-flashed to Stage 0. If it comes back again, I may need to get that looked at. |

Forget the shiny new rotors - look at that wheel... Man, that is pristine. Refinished at some point or just been taking good care of them from the beginning?

De-spaced from 20 to 15 mm in back
Ever since i got the car, it's been scraping — or so I thought – something in the right rear over sharp bumps and undulations. Super annoying, but nothing was cracked, so I just lived with it. Until I (finally) noticed that the inside of that rear fender was suspiciously clean. D'oh! Thanks to an3ony for the 15 mm spacers he had sitting around and that are now fitted to my rear, the rubbing (that wasn't ever scraping) is gone and I can stop puckering up reflexively at every single bump and expansion joint coming up on the freeway.

Here's the link to those amber fogs at Racing24.de: https://www.racing24.de/nebelscheinw...09-2015/822-02 It looks like they'll ship to the US (...for 75€ !), but not to Canada. Last edited by parameter416; 05-03-2024 at 06:08 PM.. Reason: Added shipping info. |
