Here's another one that I've found very easy to use. Just remember to put the decimal point in the right place when inputting money factor.

The only number difficult to get is the bank acquisition fee, but I know is around $600, using those numbers my formula was right on the money within a few dollars !!!

Hi DavE90,
Thanks for the excel file, it has finally helped me understand the leasing formulas. As an accountant I am constantly using excel for everything so I took the liberty to modify your file to help me even further. I don't know how to post file links but here is a picture of my handywork. Can you please check it over and make sure it is correct. I live in PA and we have a 9% lease tax rate. I also found the posted MF, residual numbers for February on this site. This site has helped me enormously already. My setup is ... 2006 330xi Jet Black Premium Automatic Sport Heated Front Seats Satellite Radio Prep Destination ($695) MSRP = $44,145 Invoice = 40,465 Figures from Edmunds.com and include dest fee. The dealership I visited is Daniels BMW in Allentown PA. What a great looking new dealership building they have. The service are is huge and immaculate and the number of used and new cars on the lot was more than I expected. Anyway I think I am getting a littled ripped off on the MF and I am trying to negotiate another $1,000 off the cap cost. Here's the file snapshot ... Edit made for fletcher969 post below. Thanks man accountants are well known for mistakes ! Last edited by DoubleL; 02-19-2006 at 10:58 AM.. |

DoubleL...correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm no accountant), but when you figure the value of line 1c (Estimated Dealer Cost), shouldn't you also add the Destination Charge since the dealership is charged the destination for shipping, etc., and said cost is simply passed along to the consumer? I realize for lease calculation the Destination Charge isn't added to the MSRP figure, but isn't it when estimating the dealer's costs?

FYI, the lease and balloon (Owner's Choice) calculators on the BMW USA website are accurate to the penny.
BMW LEASE CALCUALTOR And it is easy to use as well, just remember that the tt&l is not included. To figure a lease with zero down, just plan on putting the First Payment, Refundable Security Deposit and tt&l down in cash. Or add all that to the selling price and walk in sign here ( )and make your 2nd payment 30 days later.

I just wanted to say thanks to Dave90 and others who were so kind enough to give us these lease calculators and the ability to negotiate our deals.
I just bought a 2006 330i with ZSP, ZPP, ZCP Step for $545 a month. $1400 out of pocket. Because of the calculators I was able to manipulate the numbers so I could get to the payment I wanted and essentially bought the car for $400 over invoice. thanks again guys!
